Tell everyone what you know or shut up.

That's pretty harsh. Anything like that from anyone in this topic and they won't be posting anything for a week or two or even able to read this topic. Do we understand each other?

I can see that some activity in this thread will probably result in a few membership changes!

Certainly an odds on possibility given what we are seeing at this moment.

This may be one of the greatest or one of the worst news for our hobby, depending on how it turns out.

Although if I am reading this correctly, it is the franchise as in the name and not the code as in what P3D is evolving on.

I don't appreciate being teased by someone who claims to know something that I think a lot of us would really like to know.

You've heard the expression "put up or shut up"?  Well, that's what I meant.  I probably should have just said it that way.

I apologize if I broke any rules.  You and I obviously have different ideas of what is considered "harsh".

if your gonna say something either spill the entire thing or just keep it shut man. its not funny or amusing that your teasing us with this info

@Dave2013

And who the hell are you exactly? I don't have to say jack.. I have kept quiet up till now. Tom posted on the front page so I decided to mention that I have already been informed and will PM him with details.

I have Pm'd Tom with info dating from over a month ago and will speak to the exec before I say anything else.

I don't claim to have any great insider knowledge except the discussion I had, and out of respect to my friend I will speak to him first before mentioning names on a public forum.

The discussion was very casual, I am not a lawyer and have no idea if giving out detailed info may cause issues.

The purpose of my post was to let fellow simmers know that what I was told sounds positive.  Not even a page in and we have people talking about the franchise being buried by X-Plane.

Typical.....

Wonder what allows some members to be so impolite and blunt about their own opinions

must be a lack of intelligence and education which if they did possess those, would clearly allow them to express themselves clearly yet eloquently?

Steady on folks, we have not even seen the EULA yet, we might not be legal to use it.

Anyone will be fine, provided it was not Joshua Howard - Heck! That guy destroyed one of the best / most promising civil flight simulation platforms that developed after the Aces Studios were closed!

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Anyone will be fine, provided it was not Joshua Howard - Heck! That guy destroyed one of the best / most promising civil flight simulation platforms that developed after the Aces Studios were closed!

Ah, don't remind me of it. Microsoft Flight would have been amazing without that idiot.

Your are correct. And... not to put too fine a point on it... my definition trumps yours.

What will happen to P3D ?

Nothing, Lock-Mart bought ESP which is classified as a 'learning tool'

MSFS is classified as a game.

Would make sense if Lock-Mart bought MSFS, given all the simmer 'requests' for a civil variant of P3D.

OTOH, isn't Bill Gates a fan of MSFS? what if he bought it to preserve his pet franchise?

LoL, just as Rob is trying his level best to give us an early heads-up without as much as betraying his 'source', lo and behold he gets shot. Cannot win for trying. Well Done, Tom, with that 'Beware Notice'.

Rick Almeida

The world falling into endless chaos OR there is potential news about a development of MSFS. Either way, you will see the true character... LoL.
