Just a question. How will the PMDG 777 be for home cockpit builders? (when the sp1 is released)

And what exact features and what have been changed with the SP1?

No no! Please don`t jump into this. It will be released when it is ready whether that be 10 or 20 years from now. WHEN IT IS READY...And the work goes on................

Robert,
Let's get this right, on a personal note, I wise you well with your on-going problems and hope this time the problem is sorted out for good. Best of wish's with that.
Heath comes before anything, sure as hell before a SP1.

@PMDG
I wonder about where your going with forum Moderator's.
If some one is rude fine but where are you going to draw that line?

How about, you say above the DC-6 as been "stalled a bit" ...abit! like over 2 years, is that what PMDG calls a "bit" or how about the video when you was over here in Europe and gave a talk about how the 737 ng was 1 1/2 years late because it was a building module for the 777 and the 747 and explained that the development time could be cut down to as little as 6 months! . All them vid's are now removed from the net apart from the one on your web site showing the NGX coming this summer....O well 14 months later, but you did not say what summer did you :)
I could give a lot more examples of PMDG "hints" when we can expect something and when we really do get to see something.
If you want to stick by " it's ready when it's ready" fine but pls the hints are...well miss leading even with the caveat above.

So am I being rude?

No I'am not, truthfully, but lets call a spade a spade. I hope as long as the point being raised are good points we are free to ask. I hope your not going to turn this forum into a scenery design company forums where if your not blowing hot air at them you can get banned. They word it, "there not running a dating site..." They were more than happy to get as much traffic as possible when growing, how things have changed.
I hope your not going down the same route?
All I ask is for updates, I don't care if there boring to read it just keeps us in the picture.

I hope the 4 weeks to SP1 doesn't turn out to be like the classic " We hope to have the DC-6 in your hands very soon"(Date feb 2012, or was it 2013?) Anyway you get the point about "hints" I hope?

Thanks for the update.

So am I being rude?

A fair and honest post Dave.

In order to avoid a nervous breakdown, seing release so close, I will stick to "it's out when it's out".

Take care, health first.

Hello Rob,

Good news from you and PMDG. After release of the T7 SP1 and simultaniously the SDK for this aircraft we can hopefully enjoy soon the release of the new driver for the T7 from CP-Flight for their beloved MCP and EFIS as it works so well for the NGX. Thanks a lot in advance for making our hobby as good as it is now !

I would agree as well.

don't mix moderator and support, two completely different functions

the required profile for being a good moderator is not necessarily fitting the one of being a good support specialist (where i would agree, Kyle is amongst the most skilled i have ever read here in the forum)

 Great news :)

Hope you go through with the operation. I have a few questions reguarding P3D.

Will the features in the 777LRX, 737NGX and the 747v2 be altered for licensing purposes (I know the WeatherRadar and the Data Link features will not be changed because it is how it is used in real life but what about other features such as time compression) or just the EULA will change?

Also, is the P3D version of the 777LRX and the 737NGX based on SP1 and SP1c respectively?

Lastly, is the expansion packs such as the 737NGX 600/700 and the upcoming 777-300ER going to be in P3D form or only the original 777LRX, 737NGX and 747v2 will be released for P3Dv2.2?

I hope you answer some of my questions as soon as you are done with the treatment.

Thanks for the update, although you're still lacking any real 744v2 news. Wishing you all the best for your surgery!

Karl Brooker

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the update. I wish you a good health and get well soon from your surgery.

Yes I am anxiously waiting for the release but coming back into reality health holds higher priority.

Bilal Asif Khan

The update and any other releases are of secondary importance, Robert. The main thing is that you have successful surgery and make a full and swift recovery. Get well soon!

Good luck Robbie and come back strong

Here's to a speedy recovery Rob! On the topic of additional moderators here I sure hope Kyle is one of them. I'd be hard pressed to think of anyone more deserving with his wealth of knowledge.

I second that Chris

I would agree as well.

I appreciate the kind words, guys - thanks!

Knowing what i do about how much he loves that plane, I think not releasing news pains him more than it pains anyone else.  If you think some of the updates about the 777 and 737 have been wordy, I can only imagine the 747 updates...  :O
