The RTM from last Year work without any issue at my System. Now after SP1 I get freeze in longhaul, and I loose (the Autopilot) control in descent. The Plane will crashed on ground and the bottom dont work in the VC. I rollback my SP1. :(

No i had the freeze yesterday and i use REX weather.this was in the 300 after hour and half flight,just about to land and it froze at about 200ft.slammed into the ground and couldn't use reverse thrust or brakes until i went off end of runway.

all the controls stopped working and even though i turned off every button and switch i couldn't shut down engines.

every now and then the engines would spool up but the front wheel was locked to the right.

i have both, SP1 (incl. 300ER) and ASN, with no freezes so far...

 

had freezes every now and then with RTM, but nothing systematic that i would be able to reproduce.

 

 

what i noticed were some micro-stutters that tend to disapear now that i reduced ASN's cloud drawing distance to some 90 mi

I don't think the "5-10 minutes FSX freeze" is 777 related. It happens to me with the 320 from aerosoft, And NOT with The T7.

If you google "fsx freeze" there are posts of about 2-3 years ago about this matter. In this post

It happens with ASN. Someone is suggesting the culprit is a corrupted realtek onboard driver.

Hi , I don´t have any of these issues at all. The only one was a performance hit  , which was solved deleting FSUIPC.INI.

And I don´ t have  ASN.

Everything works perfectly, in my case.

I had my first controls freeze today; solution to this incident maybe a pointer to what can cause some, maybe not all, of these freezes.

 

Was doing a GSX pushback at FACT, when all controls froze (no mouse pointer, no joystick pan, nothing). Could hear the pushback continuing, so FSX was still alive. Came to when pushback stopped and was instructed to set parking brake, but could not pan to see the brake lever, let alone click it. "Ctrl + ." did not work either (keyboard commands frozen).

 

So CTRL ALT DEL to start task manager, and then I saw that Apple's Updater had popped up with an iTunes update. Cancelled that, changed back to FSX window, and all was alive again.

 

So just wondering if some of the freezes people encounter are due to software up-daters starting / popping up in the background, and mouse and control focus auto-changing to the updater window. One cant see the hidden updater window when in full-screen FSX view, one simply does not even know its there, and somehow even clicking anywhere in the FSX full-screen view is not returning focus to FSX.

 

Possibly a good idea to disable all auto-updaters? I certainly will be doing this.

We believe we have identified and resolved item #2, above... (Note: we are talking about two different items above... a "PAUSE" where all of FSX pauses and then resumes for no obvious reason, and a "FREEZE" which is where the 777 ceases responding, the displays stop updating, controls lock out, etc.... I'm talking about the FREEZE here...)

 

We are doing some internal testing with it- and if it does fix the issue, we will let you know.

I have experienced item #2. Do you have collected enough data or do you want me to send a ticket? I don't want to spam...

I would like to report a massive fps drop that occurs when i operate the master brightness knob next to the storm button.

 

The dome lights knob also kills FPS while being operated.

FS Captain here, too, but no such instrument freezes. (Sim freezes yes, but self-resolving.)

I just tried another flight, this time nothing freezed. I did two things differently. I sat in the F/O seat (I read that could help) and I had the fmc route programmed all the way up to the ILS runway I was landing on so I would not get a "end of route" message on the fmc and I was able to fly the whole route gate to gate. Strange indeed.

Good afternoon.

I was suffering from random simulator "pauses" with the 737ngx & 777-200lr on average every other flight before service pack 1. It would pause for around 10 minutes with sound still running. I use ASN. I found that since I changed my Affinity Mask from 85 (using 4 real cores with hyperthreading enabled) to 84 (using only 3 of the cores) the pausing has never re-appeared.....It could be a system specific bug.....

There has been a question over at the FS Captain forum regarding the 777.  Are all the people using the 777 and experiencing these random freezes using FSC?

At this point too early to tell. This was only my second flight with her. Although if I was experiencing the problem right off the bat on my very first flight that js not too good a sign. I will tow her back to the hangar as well. I HATE sitting in the F/O seat. Just feels so weird and backwards.
