This Is The Most Amazing Scenery I've Seen..

People saying "This is a flight simulator, not an airport terminal simulator."

Not out of the box it isn't, but with many addons it shows EVERYTHING to do with the airport.

Think of this as the additional detail that makes GSX even better.

Should add on aircraft developers include a detailed 3d cabin with detailed bathrooms? With a old sim like FSX and its limitations developers have had to shift their priorities to get every possible inch out of it. While the detail here is incredible and the building is glass I still think it's too much. I fly the aircraft. I don't wander through the airport or cabin so I don't want either affecting the sims performance. I know we don't know if it does but you don't know if it doesn't either.

Wow, highly realistic. Unfortunate that they chose a very small airport with regional ops, nobody can fly anything real big into there.

They say that aircraft of all sizes can land at this airport and that "AirForce 1" has landed there before.  If that's the case, I don't think the NGX will have any problem with it.

This is FSX. I'm going to put my 77W there.

The airport terminal is almost completely made of glass, so it does make sense doing this.

Not sure why some are concerned about performance ? You could have a herd of Elephants walking through the terminal and still have heaps of VAS, try that at AS EHAM. Good on Russ for going the extra mile. We would all be flying out of default airports if not for developers like Russ, honestly.

Any airport with a runway 8000 feet long will be no problem for the NGX.

Probably more detail than required for airfield but its good Midwest getting airfields for regional airports. Future payware airports need to hit cities like Hamilton, Cedar Rapids not Chicago.

Does the NGX even fly there in real life?

You won't get oom with a CRJ or ERJ

United Airlines and US Air operated Boeing 737s at this airport in the 80s and 90s.

Do they still operate?

No, but that shouldn't stop anyone flying the 737NGX to a virtual version of the airport.

That's right Gabriel.  I've flown 777F missions in and out of Reykjavik several times and its runway(5200ft) is 2800 feet shorter than the one Russ is working on.  Ain't crashed yet :P

At first im like oh no not another "the best ever" "OMG" "have u seen this???" post, looked at the first page and im like .....OMG......... looks surreal and boy them are some tasty interior textures. Cant wait for the outside to see what that looks like, judging by the interior the gotta be good, and as Cpt_Morgan said funnily OOM magnet??? wouldn't? this be the case with such mega detail??
