Traffic Optimizer for P3D

@dukeav,

Further up in this thread, I posted how to find out which versions of SimConnect were installed on his machine. Maybe everybody who is having problems making the FSX version work should list what versions they have installed.

Also, go to this folder and search for SimConnect.dll:

C:\Windows\WinSxS

Then right click on each entry that you find for Properties and look at the Details tab. See what versions of SimConnect that you have installed.

Jay, I have no SimConnect.dll at this location:  C:\Windows\WinSxS   I only had a SimConnect.dll in P3D, one in the P3D Modules folder, and I just moved that copy over into FSX, to see if that should do it.  I have a question, where, should the SimConnect.dll file reside in your FSX installation?  I wonder if FSX Deluxe EVER had that file when RTM....

The one I moved over from my P3D folder, to my FSX Modules folder, the version is: 10.0.61637.0

For those who are using this program successfully in FSX, please tell me where your SimConnect.dll file is located either on your system, or within FSX...thanks.

As you know, I have Traffic Optimizer working fine in both FSX and P3D.

In my Windows 7 (Pro, 64 bit) installation, I have 4 simconnect.dll in \windows\winsxs:

ESP version 1.0.195.0

FSX version 10.0.60905.0 (RTM)

FSX version 10.0.61355.0 (SP1)

FSX version 10.0.61637.0 (SP2/Acceleration)

Pretty sure the ESP one was installed by P3D, the three others by FSX Gold.

If you don't have the legacy versions installed, you can install them from your P3D\redist\Interface folder. If you have P3D installed, that is.

My version is 1.0.195.0 and version 10.0.61355.0 and it works perfectly.

Ok, FSX-SP2 guys hold on, I need to re-build with the SP2 dll rather than just dump it like I last time...

Sorry but after installing the version made available in the last hour it's still not deleting any Ai aircraft.

Here are my SimConnect details as requested earlier...

10.0.61637.0

10.0.61355.0

10.0.60905.0

All 3 DLLs are located in their respective folders in C:\Windows\winsxs.

Hope this helps get a version for SP2 working.

Didn't work for me either with SP2.  50% AI GA and commercial...no other traffic add-on.  Nothing deleted.

I could use a little clarification, if AI is already modeled in P3D out a certain diameter of miles/kilometers around the user aircraft and one can already adjust more or less AI aircraft with the slider... why would I need this?
