February 15, 201511 yr It's so annoying I agree but the last update from rex helped quite a bit compared to what it was - hopefully it will be addressed more down the road Rich Sennett
February 15, 201511 yr For those running the PMDG 777 and experiencing VAS issues, disable the external model, saves you about 500MB. What? Is this really possible? Brynjar Mauseth

February 15, 201511 yr You really do not need 60fps in a flight simulator. Like others have stated on this forum and elsewhere, 20fps is perfectly acceptable if the framerate is smooth. Maybe this is because I have always wanted as much detail as possible in my games and simulations, so I have become used to (relatively) low framerates? If you read my post it did not say you need 60 fps in a simulator. The comparison of 24 fps in movies is totally bogus however. What I will say is that I don't get this smooth vs fps argument. I can say right now that anything under 28 or26 at the very most is totally not smooth. The jerkiness becomes completely apparent in any situation especially when turning head view point. February 15, 201511 yr It may not be no smooth on your set up where as on other pc it is, so its all depends on ones set up, this all goes down is why do users have their fps showing I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
February 15, 201511 yr Well, I am just glad that I can be comfortable with relatively low framerates, because it becomes progressively more difficult to retain high detail levels otherwise. Despite my reluctance to venture beyond the UK, I have considered dipping my toes into those European countries that are relatively close to the British Isles, so Fly Tampa Copenhagen (and presumably the upcoming Amsterdam Schiphol) are of interest to me. I know that photoscenery of the Netherlands is available, but I am less certain about Denmark. A texture resolution of 1.2m per pixel would be an absolute minimum for me, and I would need photoscenery to "bridge the gaps", since flying over default scenery is not an option. For the record, I would also love high resolution photoscenery of Northern Ireland (with decent water masks)..... February 15, 201511 yr In FS9 I had every Ai package out there, I spent hours each week updating it. But now I would rather get smooth performance and no oom in fsx, so I run no AI. I use flightradar to see who is around me when flying real routes in real time. And use liveatc.net to listen if the airports are available. Many routes you can listen to real atc coverage the entire way. I will use Ai again for P3D x64. I still miss how great it makes airports look with 100% custom AI combined with Ultimate Traffic.
February 15, 201511 yr You guys may want to take a quick peek at the FlyTampa Toronto forum. There have been some fixes and enhancements released by the author. Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
February 15, 201511 yr It appears George has released a fix to have most if not all features when scenery complexity at sparse - last zip file is all you need dont forget to run configurator again before flying http://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7196 Rich Sennett
