MyTraffic V6 for P3D inbound

Featured Replies

My Traffic has always been designed to give realistic traffic settings at 30-40%. If one wants more than that, it can show more than "real world" traffic.

 Here's a brief series of pairings from looking at Wesjet in MyTraffic 6. In Real life, they operate approx 108 B737's (600's-800's), in MyTraffic there are plans for over 220. These pairings happen every 24 hours.. Yes, every single day.

 All are fictional (completely out to lunch) and there are dozens upon dozens more like these, and that's from one airline.

OMG! What kind of flight planning is that? Theres absolutely no logic in it. LOL

Its looks like a script was used to just randomly pick airports of any kind irregardless of population and airport size.

I wouldve thought a payware traffic program would have at least realistic schedules incorporated into it.

Why? They are just AI flying around in the sim to create a visual effect. If you want a specific plan for some reason, you can create your own.

Most of us just see the AI take off and land.

IMHO, taking off somewhere and landing somewhere else is a perfectly realistic schedule.

Up to 50% airline traffic will give roughly real world flightplans, more than that and it will "create" flights to fill your parking spaces.

You did not imagine that Burkhard actually sat there and hand edited 6.5 million Ai flights per week and completed this task without any errors or duplications LOL

It's almost as if know one reads documentation any more  :Thinking:

Hi Vic, I agree with you. I don't know why some people here are so adament of having an exact schedule. For instance in the real world a B777 pilot taxing out of the gate at Toronto and is following an Air Transat a/c to the active rwy dosen't care if that Air Transat a/c is going to Hawaii, Cancun or Miami. He cares if the a/c is taxing too slow or cuts him or someone else off. Its all about the immersion factor of having a/c around you that are moving to the rwy for take off or landing and taxing to the gate. Just my humble opinion.

Yeah LOL, it's not like he's charging for it right?

Oh well, there's always MyTraffic 7....Glad I held off on buying this, I'd normally jump right in on an addon sale but between dodgy models and Westjet 737's in Bournemouth, I think I'll give this one a miss.

I'll just leave you with a couple more WOAI screenshots as the door hits me on the backside on the way out.....

  A couple posters asked how real the schedules were, and I simply responded. Even the real flights however are suspect. To have an aircraft that does one flight for the day and then sits on the gate, while another aircraft does its return leg and so on. It falsely over populates the airports. Alpha India Group gets it right for more flights and airlines, so yes expecting there to be no duplicates or few errors from a payware product isn't out of the question..

A very basic question and I apologize if you or others here have gone over it already, but... are you sure that the path to the MyTraffic folder actually got saved to your simobjects.cfg file?  The reason I ask is that I had a problem early on where I was convinced that I'd set it up correctly and saved it in the MyTraffic Communicator... but for some reason it didn't get saved to the file.  I know of one other user who had this same experience. I'm not sure if it was an error on my (and the other user's) part, or a bug in the communicator, but it's worth double (or triple) checking.  Open simobjects.cfg using Notepad or Wordpad, and see if the MyTraffic path is there. If the path isn't set up and saved correctly, MyTraffic won't know where to look for aircraft, so it won't load any.  Hope this is helpful - and again, apologies if it isn't, or if you've already tried it.

Yes is there...Entry.10]

OK, I am confused now. :) Pete - go into MYT6 Communicator - Select Schedules - Spring 2015 - wait for cmd window to close - leave default AI DISABLED - now exit MYT6 Communicator.

Start P3D - go to your airport(KSFO - KLAX) - in P3D menu - set the airline and ga traffic to 100% -

look around - do you see ANY AI?

If YES - MyT6 is working - if NO - something with your install is wrong.

Vic

I did everything exactly GA and AI 100% not traffic, with or with out MYtraffic6 running....Running out of ideas.....once I disable AI traffic in Communicator, I have no trafiic in P3D...neither My traffic 6

Peter - your install is screwed up somehow

If you are not seeing ANY MyT6 AI then there are several possibilities

1) the files did NOT unpack and install properly

2) Your entry in Simobjects.cfg does NOT point to the correct MyT6 folder

3) You either have NOT activated MYT6 in your Scenery library or it is in the wrong spot.

Frankly, I'd completely UNINTSALL MYT6 and start fresh

After install the only thing you need to do to see AI is tell MyT where the MyT folder is and add the entry to the simobjects.cfg file. Then add C:\My Traffic Professional to the scenery library. Activate it and move it down, just above Propeller Objects in the library.

then set your sliders in the sim to 50% and go fly. Once you know it's working, drop the sliders to where you like - usually about 25 - 30% is ideal.

yeah I think I am going to star from 0 ...should I install in default C:..?...I have P3D in another hard drive G:......

Agree with Vic - uninstall and start the install again.  Just curious, what other non-standard entry do you have in your simobjects.cfg ... 8 entries are "default" since your at 10 that means you must have added another (aka 9).

These are my entries:

Path=SimObjects\Airplanes
[Entry.1]
Path=SimObjects\Rotorcraft

Path=SimObjects\GroundVehicles

of the pub? ... now if we can just fix airport vehicle traffic and stop them from obvious runway and taxiway incursions.

Cheers, Rob.
