August 18, 201510 yr Moderator XP11, I'm looking forward to seeing what it will bring. More autogen scenery from World2Xplane 8(?) with the new autogen tech I wasn't actually planning on doing anymore autogen sceneries (except GB Pro) since it hasn't seemed very popular. That being said, I might just release the autogen files as scenery packs so they replace the default X-Plane autogen artwork in specific areas.

If you're referring to the autogen regions, of course the popularity is going to scale largely with the regions you're doing. I'm guilty of not yet trying out your autogen regions, nor your GB scenery. It just hasn't yet fit within where I fly. That said, the work you're doing to push the bar in terms of autogen placement is absolutely huge, and I would venture, greatly appreciated by all of us! Also, if you manage to come up with a way for us to generate our own autogen scenery (your page says it's not currently possible), then we can always have the ability to 'fill in' the areas important to us. For example, I'd jump all over some Canadian scenery with your autogen tech that's the same level as what your images have shown. But I also know that it's popularity may be limited in terms of the amount of work that it might require, so I would never ask for it!! Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
August 18, 201510 yr Moderator Also, if you manage to come up with a way for us to generate our own autogen scenery (your page says it's not currently possible) It will be possible in the next version, however the biggest problem is the artwork. I've done areas I know, but it's not possible for me to do 3D model autogen for other regions (Although X-Plane's autogen for the US/Canada is really good and could be plugged into the config file to place it more accurately using OSM buildings where available). The biggest "market" is without a doubt the US and Canada, and this simply is one of those regions I'm not interested in working on or even flying in (There's already a tonne of other developers doing scenery here).
