September 29, 201510 yr For most of us, it's not $60, it's $200. And since when to we pay for bug fixes? For those that bought 2.5, does that mean they payed for buggy software and you get what you get?? Buy it again if you want it to work? That's a joke, and not the way you run a business. This seems more like a v2.6 to me, with most of the list being bug fixes. And I just read that a 4 gig GPU is recommended, so that is another couple of hundred dollars to replace my 2 G card which works very well in 2.5.

It wasn't. And btw it isn't so keep on enjoying v2.5. No one is forcing anyone to upgrade. And there is no need at all to shout in bold. And I just read that a 4 gig GPU is recommended, so that is another couple of hundred dollars to replace my 2 G card which works very well in 2.5. It's recommended, not required.

Yes, but recommended isn't the same as required. I also have a 2GB card, but I am not likely to be switching on all of the special effects and shadow options that are available in P3D. If it works with the same settings as I have in 2.4 without major OOM issues, then it will be a massive success for the flightsim community. September 29, 201510 yr I'm more interested in the Rift support!!! Memory management sounds very good. Maybe time to get a 2nd GPU? Be nice to see some tests. The updated folder re-organisation sounds worrying.
September 29, 201510 yr And I just read that a 4 gig GPU is recommended, so that is another couple of hundred dollars to replace my 2 G card which works very well in 2.5. "Recommended" not "required". For that matter, a 4 G card was also highly recommended for 2.5. If your 2 G card has been working P3D 2.5, it should continue to work in Version 3. A faster GPU, with more VRAM will improve overall sim performance, but it is an option, not a requirement. Now granted, each new version of MSFS was revolutionary rather than a couple of new features and a long list of bug fixes...right? Chris

All caps is shouting; It's been like that for 20 years. Second, 2.5 is barely better than FSX, so I'm not paying $200 for it. And I know several people that returned it because it was buggy. Did you not see the bug list? Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist

September 29, 201510 yr Just a question with lots of assumption. I assume addon developers (Orbx,A2A.etc) would continue support with the current P3D but would now have new addon software that would need to be purchased for the new program P3D ver 3. Just wondering if looks like we are then having to basically repurchase addons for the new program of P3D ver 3. I know lots of assuming here. Thank you
September 29, 201510 yr I know lots of assuming here I think it's safe to assume that we don't know at this stage. rcboffa, on 29 Sept 2015 - 3:35 PM, said: Second, 2.5 is barely better than FSX I have tickets for the Comedy Club tonight, but I think I'll just cancel them and continue reading this thread all night. Recommended on LM website for 2.5 is clearly stated as 2gb for GPU.
