March 7, 201610 yr What I'm confused about the "updating" process, is that the change log shows "updates" to Client, Scenery & Content - So shouldn't you be updating the whole thing each time anyways? Is there a difference between individually removing & re-installing those 3 components vs a "full" uninstall/reinstall. My main concern is not having the OrbX scenery all needing a complete reinstall (I'd rather have wisdom teeth pulled I think) @Rob: Nice video! Although I'd turn off those reflections myself. Makes the ocean look like it's made out of a marble slab.
March 7, 201610 yr Surprise! Pete Dowson is not on holiday. ASN, the Flight1 GTN 750, FSUIPC and ORBX Object Flow may all need updates. But nothing has been posted yet officially on any of those 3rd party official message boards. EDIT: The GTN units definitely do not work in 3.2: http://www.simforums.com/forums/prepar3d-v32-gtn-750-not-working_topic55183.html
March 7, 201610 yr Just purchased P3DV3 last week, I think I will wait on the update process. Has any have success moving the Q400 outside of the main P3D root? I am guessing you first un-install the aircraft then re-install to a different location outside of the the P3D root followed by updating P3D config files to point to this new location (the new Q400 directory) - Paul Cartier

March 7, 201610 yr Changelog is pretty extensive. Interesting rendering upgrades too. I just cant help to think how frustrated devs are with these kinds of updates. Some are still working on 3.1 installers. Now 3.2 is here. You would think these installers would just work with anything 3.x.x CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
March 7, 201610 yr Hmm I used the update just the client method and now cant start p3d, I get the following message.. any ideas? https://www.dropbox.com/s/49mwlwvxdqemt0f/Screenshot%202016-03-07%2020.05.05.png?dl=0
March 7, 201610 yr Thank you Nuno Hi Poppet, While you are online and and off topic..is there anyway you can make your excellent tutorials on installing EZDok in P3Dv31 and addons outside of P3D core files into pdf files for download, so that they can be printed and followed while implementing the contents. Thanks Steve

March 7, 201610 yr Makes the ocean look like it's made out of a marble slab. You can adjust the reflective nature of the Triton ocean via WaterConstantsv3.xml settings (I believe some 3rd party products already do adjust this file). Now 3.2 is here. You would think these installers would just work with anything 3.x.x The installers do work with any V3.x ... not sure what you mean? Some of the products (ASN, ObjectFlow, GTN, FSUIPC, etc) that link directly to P3D by using a process outside of the SDK will need to re-locate their offsets since the core EXE/DLLs get updated whenever LM make a build ... LM can't make changes/fixes without building new core EXE/DLLs. But I'm not aware of any V3.x installers that don't work with V3.0, V3.1, V3.2? Cheers, Rob.
March 7, 201610 yr Hmmmm I appreciate the frequency of P3D updates, however I'm less happy that it requires everytime a reinstall I was just halfway installing V3.1... It takes days/weeks completely installing all add-ons :Whew: Sincerely hope they will provide incremental installers in the future. March 7, 201610 yr Autogen Buildings! Does that mean lights also ? Hi Rich, the .cfg file is still set at 6.5, try changing the value. bob edit it would be nice to know what values we can use.
March 7, 201610 yr The installers do work with any V3.x ... not sure what you mean? LM can't make changes/fixes without building new core EXE/DLLs. Further, some of these 3rd party developers are participants in the closed beta program. But just because their addon worked in the latest beta build doesn't necessarily mean that they will release an update without further testing it with the release version of 3.2.
March 7, 201610 yr however I'm less happy that it requires everytime a reinstall I was just halfway installing V3.1... It takes days/weeks completely installing all add-ons :Whew: It does NOT require a reinstall. Did you really read the release notes?
