April 22, 201610 yr Wow. I've been checking back in on this thread and thinking... well... Does anyone remember when people were still arguing that cloud shadows was an over-requested, unnecessary, eye-candy-only feature? (And I'm sure that there are still those that do.) Something a lot of people don't realize (and it's somewhat illustrated in the interface screenshots above) is that shadows tell a story about the clouds and weather. I've used that in RW flying to find a place to climb. I've used them to avoid more turbulent air in summer. It's a great indicator of what's ahead. Not as useful if you're IFR, but very much so for VFR. H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g

Hm, I know that when the visibility is set to unlimited, shadows can be a bit more intensive, but in your examples it's pretty extreme. Three things I can think of at the moment: - did you deleted shader cache? - do you use Shade for adjusting the shadows? - what sky texture you are using? I would like to take a look on some pixels Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
