since p3d and its addons are directed towards non entertainment use, can't find fault with the high pricing compared to fsx. No matter how large in number the entertainment users, there is a small portion of non entertainment users as well which require proper commitment/support and maintenance by the developers on the changing platform. A developer may or may not charge more or same increase depending on complexity of addon and work/commitment required to maintain. There is no way for developers to separate non entertainment from entertainment users within p3d, like between fsx and p3d.

It's up there in the 'uber realistic' level apparently  - aimed at real world pilots and twitch streamers. If you don't fall in to either category .. Well... There's an Aerosoft option for you ...!!

Ok my 50c, guys...

Bought it... Tested it on LJLJ airport (base of Adria Airways, carrier of my country) which is small airport, not heavy scenery...
Went from cold and dark till engines running, taxied for takeoff, took off and FSUIPC VAS warning started... Few moments later.. OOM.

I have high-end rig with 16GB ddr3, 4790 i7 @4.7, GTX980....
Awesome product, dissapoining VAS.... FPS are not even the problem, tried it on EDDF and I could run at 30-40 FPS wiht 60% Ultimatetraffic2...

But VAS is a dissaster... Don't even know what to do?! I was running PMDG 737 great for more than 2 years, even on heavy sceneries (LEBL, LEMD,..) and

did not run into VAS problem.. Never...
Now with this awesome airbus product, I ran into 2 in 2 hours of testing, on a light scenery... My sliders are not even maxed out, about 75-80% high in average...

I don't know what I'll do, really. I don't care about money spent, I care about how to run this product properly wihtout setting all sliders to the left :/
I guess I'll have to wait for improved versions or something, in the meantime, back to aerosoft :/

This product is unfortunately example of great idea, but very bad realisation. How the f** can PMDG develope product with so many animations, animated wing flex, modelled cabin, great system functionality, maintaince based failures and so on... ?
Why can't we get that for airbus?!!

Tired of waiting for the right one, really.

It may be the platform not FSLabs aircraft if you know what I mean

OK Rich, not helpful... lol

And this is why I don't fly tubes lol

Wow that's not cheap.  But if it does everything I suppose it's worth it.

You don't fly them because of the VAS, frames or Price ?

Start by reducing the LOD radius to 4.5.

Just an observation thats all - all the developer bashing gets old and its done constantly with out more thought into the reason

All this talk about price is useless drivel. It is what it is. It's like shopping for cars, price too high for your budget, don't stand in the lot complaining about it, move on and buy a cheaper car.

Now about that VAS....

Right, so bashing a sim platform is more productive... lol

It was set to that value at the time of testing... Thanks anyways...

OK, I just found this had the biggest effect for me on VAS.

Observation and bashing are two different things

I would love to know what percentage of owners of P3D use it for "entertainment" vs. serious training.  I would guess its 80/20 given that this rule tends to apply to most things.  Maybe I should by some shares of LM and ask the question at the next shareholders meeting.

I'm fairly certain it's dominated by hobbyists like us, too. Still, it probably doesn't mean that Lockheed will go to the trouble of changing its licence agreement and market P3D any differently.

Well I do believe I am good at my work (like everyone I guess), my employer says that and my previous employer said the same thing too. Which was the case with the former employer before that. But I am not asking to be paid significantly more than others who are doing the same job with me. More importantly I am not asking to be paid 50% more, lets say when I was asked to type a document in Microsoft Word and then Apple's Pages.

But whatever. Seems like developers are free to set their prices (which is totally ok) but we are not free to express our thoughts about their pricing.

Its your thought process Thats the reason you are getting paid the same as everyone else. You literally see no extra value that you add compared to others. Thats also the reason why whatever field you are in will never see any aggregate wage rises. Its the exact thought l

Process that has kept pilot wages down for so long.

You csn call it greed, however its economics. Its the price and people are buying it. Its a paycheck that they deserve. Also, there is no other airbus on the market that is this in depth. Therefore, they can really name whatever price they want....to an extent.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠
