January 21, 20179 yr .....I just don't feel I'm flying when I'm in it. I feel like I'm just operating a computer - following a dictated process I have little or no say in. I feel confined and well, bored. That's the problem with accurately emulating an Airbus. Your description is probably fully applicable to the real aircraft. It's not a "pilot's airplane" - it's an engineer's airplane. I do believe that the software is worth every penny of the asking price. Years of intense work went its creation, and the developers certainly deserve to be compensated for their efforts. I, personally, am a "systems geek", so having an add-on that emulates the underlying electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and avionics of a real A-320 with extreme accuracy makes the investment worth the asking price. I had no problem paying close to $400 for the Aerowinx PSX 747 for the same reason. But, I definitely understand that many potential purchasers who "just want to fly", would find the price too steep. January 21, 20179 yr No, and that might be the problem with some users. I have no Traffic AI addons (only the default at 20% cars, 15% boats and 15% ferries). I fly online exclusively and the traffic i see are the occasional pilots that are in the same airport. I also don't use GSX or similar, no EZDok or similar and no FS2Crew or similar. I am using AS2016 and ASCA. That's what i wanted to know, cause i use all of the above AI, Chase plane, GSX, fs2crew, all use up memory. I start with 1100 mb but it drops down to 400 at the end of a flight, either with ngx or 777x. January 21, 20179 yr And what do you suppose that store tells the next customer who is interested in that jacket? "Oh, by the way, that jacket has already been out with five other customers before you. But only a couple of hours each"Stores cannot afford constant refunds unless they have massive revenue margins. In the end, insisting on this practice would leave only the biggest retailers in play, who don't mind if they sell you something new or used, as long as the financial balance sheet works out. I'm sure lots of people would be happy to buy a jacket that someone already tried for a couple of hours if they get let's say 10% off from the original price and at the same time the store known to always letting you return products you're not happy with will increase their sales for this simple reason...people feel confident buying from such a place. I have lots of experience of this from real life.

January 21, 20179 yr summary: if you do not use these then you will be happy with FS320, otherwise buy a +2000 dollar machine, simple... my machine is 2000+ eurors not dollar, so that's even more LOL you can have a beast, but it will oom still if you have to off addons together Ivan Majetic ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO; 7900X3D; NZXT KRAKEN ELITE 360, GIGABYTE RTX 4080; G.SKILL TridentZ NEO RGB DDR5 64 Gb, WD HDD 2TB, SAMSUNG 980PRO, SAMSUNG 970EVO Plus 2x, ALIENWARE 3423DWF
January 21, 20179 yr As per what Nuno has said, AI made a huge difference in using the FSL A320 for me. Even 15% AI, at larger airports would lead to FPS and VAS problems. No AI - a very usable experience (although for me, it performed better in FSX:SE than in P3D 3.4). So, as well as all the other factors that need to be carefully considered before deciding whether or not to invest, whether you can live without AI should be a key one. This is to be taken as nothing more than an anecdote ----> I've been really enjoying the FSL A320 for weeks now, but for the first time since buying it, I've just taken the Aerosoft A320 for a flight. My preconception was that it would feel lacking and disappointing ---------- it didn't -------- I enjoyed it far more than I expected, and I enjoyed being able to fly from two VAS heavy airports, with very dense autogen settings, AI, and other settings set to high. I also prefer the AS's engine sounds. Sure, the 'nuances' of the FSL were missing (such as subtle changes in pack sounds, etc), but overall, I still really enjoyed the AS A320 experience, even after having flown the FSL a lot. Contrary to what a lot of people say, the AS is not by any means a 'lite' addon - it's just that it is positioned for standard line flying, so has less possible variables going on beneath the hood. The FSL is fantastic. But there are some serious comprimises involved in running it, and the fact it is lacking in config utilities, custom key commands etc (achievable with the AS using a simple LUA script) also reduce enjoyment, for me. If I'm completely honest with myself, I think I wish I had saved my money for other forthcoming addons like the AS A330, PMDG 747, etc, and stuck with the AS A320, which does the job just fine for me. January 21, 20179 yr I never use AI as I always fly online. That definitely makes a huge difference when it comes to OOM.
January 21, 20179 yr For those of you plagued by the oom, try unticking vector completely in the scenery library and fly. It saved my 400 mb of memory, and only thing that was ticked was primary roads, highways and small streams Ivan Majetic ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO; 7900X3D; NZXT KRAKEN ELITE 360, GIGABYTE RTX 4080; G.SKILL TridentZ NEO RGB DDR5 64 Gb, WD HDD 2TB, SAMSUNG 980PRO, SAMSUNG 970EVO Plus 2x, ALIENWARE 3423DWF

People often say "I have very conservative settings in Vector", but the fact is, Vector does a lot aside from those option settings. Even with everything unticked in the config, it is still processing some very high definition coastlines. My two biggest tips for being able to enjoy the FSL would be:- No AI Fully deactivate Orbx Vector in your scenery library (5 tick boxes, near the bottom). January 21, 20179 yr Just did a flight from Taxi2Gate EDDM to FSDT LSGG. On the ground at EDDM I had 1.4 Gb free VAS. At the gate in LSGG 1.1 Gb. This is with P3D v3.4HF2, MyTraffic AI at 10%, AS16, GSX and all Orbx. Edit: I use Vector but only have Highways and Railroads activated. The A320 is absolutely stunning. Performance is great, too. January 21, 20179 yr 3Rd attempt at trying to do a sector in this piece of ######...it's buggy as ######
January 21, 20179 yr my simple conclusion: We use 32b systems, most of us are VAS-wise already at the edge due to the addons we all use already... in our 32b systems there is no playground left for a demanding system as FSLabs A320. So my dissapointment is the obligation to increase the other addons we like soo much. And yes, they mentionned that before, but we were seduced by these so nice trailers ... so, my solution: i have to buy a second pc, i ll use it only with p3d and FSLabsA320. You cant overcharge a truck when its full, you have to buy a second one...
January 21, 20179 yr Sorry if this one's already covered. Anyone tested the bird in P3D v3.2? Is it possible to fly her there?
