What white blobs are you talking about, is there a screenshot or a video somewhere?

Haven't had the chance to try out the scenery that much yet but so far I haven't seen any white blobs I'm sure

Not sure if I can replicate it but i'll try.

It's the white diamond symbols that TCAS give out when traffic above/below.

Imagine about 100 of those in one area over the airport and suddenly disappearing as you near the RWY.

My UT2 is kept at a minimal so I'm baffled

Hmm...that's interesting...

I read quite a number of reports of AFCAD issues over in T2G's forum so I wonder if maybe that could be related to what you're seeing here.

If you haven't already I suggest you report any issues over here to make sure the developer will be made aware of them.

Will keep my eyes open for this from now on and great if you post this over at T2G's forum so they can look into it.

Bought this Airport last night and did a night flight from EGCC with easyjet FSL A320, no problems look fantastic in the dark, will do the return leg in day light.

O and before anyone asks VAS left after taix'ing from 08R all the way round to T2 D, 800mb.

I thought you guys would appreciate this.  Although United now has B788s on this route, here is a B744 N127UA at Terminal 1 Gate Z4 just in from KIAD:

I did AFR55 from KIAD in the PMDG 777, no issues with VAS. Judy the white blobs! I'm also gonna remove the 3D grass, looks very unrealistic.

I noticed the white blobs on the TCAS but just presumed it was UT2 having a bad day. Oddly (and perhaps related), we were talking in our forum earlier about the paragliders at FSDT airports in Hawaii showing up on the TCAS. I wonder if this is a similar issue.

the paragliders at FSDT airports in Hawaii

Wow, Ben, I've never seen them!

As a former paragliding pilot, I have to visit virtual Hawaii this weekend and spot them.

Are they all around or just on one specific island (if you remember)?

Yes, according to its author, Marc Guitteny, who kindly exchanged some emails with me months ago, the installer for the v1.2 now includes a Configuration Editor that automatically runs with the original install, that adds its specific Paris-Intramuros entries to the autogen files (I don't know to which of them, if there are several, or just the default.xml file). Also, he mentioned that every time FSX/P3D starts-up the Configurator re-adds those files again in case any other addon like ORBX's modified such file(s). In case of doubt I would recommend to send an email to Marc to ask for some guidance, he's a kind and helpful guy.

Please post back any new finding or steps used to get this scenery installed in P3D, as it was originally designed for FSX.

Thanks, Ed

Hi,

I just bought LFPG and was thinking of installing the Paris City freeware but i am not sure about all the talk about the autogen folder.

Does it conflict with any other developers entrys?

If i make a happy backup right now will i be able to just overwrite it?

What is the best solution? Dont understand quite wat this merger program actually does.

Any one care for a step by step guide?

Lastly does it tip the iceberg regarding FPS and VAS with LFPG?

Thanks Michael Moe

Hi Michael, sorry for the late answer.

The Autogen Config Merger tool is a very reliable one (developed by Arno Gerretsen and posted at FS Developer), and it will make sure the necessary autogen files for the Paris City scenery will always be in place as needed, before flying into this area. As you probably know, each time you run FTX Central (ORBX), it modifies the autogen entries to make sure ORBX files will be in use, but causing other autogen entries to disappear (like the ones from Fly-Tampa EHAM for instance and these entries for Paris City as well). So, each time you run FTX Central and you start P3D (I don't know the process for FSX, but I assume is the same) you'll notice a notification window indicating that the Autogen Config Merger utility have run and installed back all necessary entries into your autogen files, automatically. This tool/utility is installed at the end of the installation process of the Paris City scenery and you should install it in the directory suggested by the installer (you should select your FS too, and its version). During the installation, the tool will create an entry into your exe.dll file located in %AppData%\Roaming directory, so each time you run your FS the tool will verify the autogen entries for you and no further manual action is required from your side. It works quite well for me.

In any case, I recommend you making a complete backup of the autogen folder located in the main P3D directory to make sure you can go back in case of trouble.

If you need some help to install the Paris Scenery send me a PM and I could give some more hints, since this scenery was originally designed for FSX, and for P3D the process is easy, but you should point the installer manually to the path P3D is located in your machine.

Cheers, Ed

Joined the party too happy to have Paris back.

Anyone noticed the brown textures just outside the airport fence which doesn't look correct with FTX global?

I saw them at PHOG, but they might appear elsewhere.
