They are customized for use with my 7.1 soundset. AIM will automatically rewrite the soundai.cfg each time. The only way to use you files is to write a script that will change the files back to your config

November 19, 20196 yr Hi everyone After a hiatus from simming (starting a family) I'm now at a time where I can start to dedicate some time to it again and I'm delighted to stumble upon AIG AIM. However, I think I'm really struggling to understand two aspects of it. Going through the tutorial, I thought I had the 'min' and 'max' values right by leaving them at 1% each (the default). However, upon further reading this thread it seems that to be able to use the traffic slider to its full 'potential' in P3D I should've had the min/max values at 1% and 99% (or even 100%?) Can someone please help be understand the difference between having both values at 1% and then using the slider in the sim, vs having the values at 1%/99% and then using the slider in the sim? Because try as I might I don't understand what's been said before on the subject. Secondly, I've already installed a bunch of flightplans (from 'A' to 'Easyjet' so far) with the values in the settings at 1%/1%. If I do need to change them how do I apply the 'effect' of this change onto the flightplans already installed? Do I simply need to delete them and re-install/download them all over again? Finally, I'm now also looking at FS Reborn's excellent AI lights package. If I'm going down that road do I need to delete everything, install FS Reborn FIRST, then install all the FPs using OCI? Or can I do it after? I'm using the latest version of AIG AIM (0.9.2.13) Thanks for anyone who can help me get my head around the above! Baby brain has not been kind to me! All the best Simon

AI Lights Reborn will detect AIGM and configure all your new installed AI models automatically. If you run into any issue just contact me or any of my Beta tester, most of them use AIGM-OCI and will be happy to help you with the process. The number chosen in AIManager is planted into the plans which will be used for your AI Traffic. P3D will only start plans off where this embedded value is greater or equal to the Traffic Slider value. So, with 1% in them all, all values of the Slider, from 1 to 100, will allow ALL of the aircraft to operate. The only value of the slider which can change that is 0, which will stop them all. So, with a 1% value in the plans, the slider is only operating as an on/off switch! By asking AIManager to generate random values between 1 and 99 then every change in the slider will change the number of permitted AI flights. If you set it to between 1 and 50, say, then only half the slider setting would do anything because all settings over 49 will allow all flights. I only set values from 1-x% for the major airlines. This helps on performance at larger airports but keeps airline diversity. November 19, 20196 yr Wow, Simbol, Pete and Nemo, that's nailed it I think! Thank you! I guess the only thing I'm unsure about is that I need to delete what I have already, then set the values back to 1%-x% (not 1 though, for granularity), then reinstall again. It doesn't look like there's a way to change the value of the plans already installed. You live and learn! 🙂 Thanks again. Simon
November 19, 20196 yr I truly wish that AIG had a public torrent of entire Database to share instead of picking one by one. It took forever to get all airlines - total size of db is 36gb. The download is fast, it is just that sometimes you have to be there on the screen to download the models. It still takes time. My AIG is set to Min 1% and Max activity 1% - Yep that does load all the planes but it is a performance hit at times. I am using @Pete Dowson FSUIPC 5 with traffic limiter set to 60 (I assume that it is 60%). I even created another the other day regarding this issue over here. Someone needs to create a super basic tutorial on this how to set up - click this and do this etc. Set it and forget it. Go to Stuff 4FS and download AI Flight Planner (AIFP), an incredibly powerful freeware that will let you, among many other things, adjust activity levels and re-compile the BGL's. It takes a bit of reading the manual and using it to fully appreciate. But it's worth it, a truly indispensable program for AI. http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=AIFP Hope this helps. November 19, 20196 yr Is there anyway to install AIG outside of P3D so that I may check the files and add AC manually? I currently have UTL installed with several dozen add on AC that I’ve added myself and don’t want to duplicate or overwrite any of them! Thanks! Chris Camp

November 19, 20196 yr AIGAIM installs using the addon xml so install it where you like. I have my own AI infrastructure independent of AIG, no issues at all between the two, Gerald EAA #: 1317747 i7 8700K 6-Core 3.7GHz (4.5GHz); ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-I Gaming ; RTX 2070 Super Turbo 8GB; 32GB G.Skill TridentZ 3000MHz; 250GB Samsung 960 Evo PCIe NVMe M.2; 2x 500GB Samsung 850 Evo Series SSD; 1TB WD Black HDD; Win10 Pro 64; P3D 4.5

Yes, I have Orbx installed outside of P3D but P3D is calling the files for scenery and LC. What I’m asking is can I install AIG to a “New” folder on my desktop without it linking at all to P3D via automatically writing to the add on xml? Chris Camp
