Yes, I understand that concern. We have been disappointed in the past. But the developers have been VERY forthcoming with information regarding this product and are clearly paying attention to our wants and needs and bending over backwards to give us what we desire. And given all the technical detail we have been given, I'm finding it hard to be pessimistic. So yes, I'm far more optimistic about this release than past flight sims.
February 29, 20206 yr Author It was said that Microsoft Flight Simulator is planned to be a 10-year project. A DirectX 12 and ray-tracing update has already been confirmed, and further revenue will come via an integrated marketplace. I don't think we will see a sequel until a disruptive new technology, like Azure processing satellite data, will make an appearance. They are upgrading a huge part of the old feature set to make up for all those years of stagnant progress, so a sequel after two years would likely be an extremely incremental upgrade.
February 29, 20206 yr I think that we should worry about a sequel long after MSFS has been released, at least 10 years after that. So, no going out to buy a suitable PC for that, as yet. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...

I dont know how 3pd keep up while still producing new products. haha... well... either that or they don't care much and every once in a while release a new version that renders 80% of the addons obsolete. 😄 Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
February 29, 20206 yr I’m presuming the “unforeseen travel issues” were something to do with coronavirus. I wonder whether it will cause any delay to the game long-term.

I don't have a problem with downloading product`s and Subscription software but the fact this will supported for life and updated for free I was not aware of that. Raymond Fry.
