July 21, 20205 yr I keep having the same feeling 'chock'. Even though '2reds2whites', who has flown the 320 thought it looks realistic, I can't help feeling there's something off with how the planes move when in external view. Their moves feel too 'sudden', as if they have no mass. I live near an airport and see planes coming in for landing all the time and even in higher winds when they need to make lots of corrections (examples here) I never see one move like this. I am curious how well the AI renders these types of areas and if it looks random vs cookie cutter landclass from FSX. Im hoping it accurately captures things such as the small towns along the Nile river, and the mountains/valleys and many rivers for these areas. I'm off to check that now..................... It looks a bit like flying in GTA. Too arcady. I think that's the biggest issue for me right now. It needs to feel realistic when handflying. On the small planes you don't notice it that much, but I think this is a general issue. Graphically it outplays the competition on another level. Especially the Miami clip literally feels as real as it gets. Imagine that with VR. 3 hours ago, Janov said: It must be the first simulator that can do this! Amazing technological achievement! 🤣 Correction: It's the first sim where it looks truly amazing without having to tinker around on the product yourself. 😛 Edited July 21, 20205 yr by tweekz Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

July 21, 20205 yr From a guy over at the ORG, who has all sims:- Now for MSFS (all what I am saying here is public, as I still have an NDA for other areas) , they have done a great job in integrating Bing maps, is Ortho but with a twist, they use a partner that works around what is a tree, what is a highway and adds a layer of 3D. You need disk space but you can have a rolling cache. Weather is fantastic and very realistic, wind, clouds effect and your radar can pin point every single cloud with its humidity to the pixel. Performance is great as well, I can easily run the simulator with every option too the right and is smooth (similar to P3D V5) with my RTX 2080 TI.
July 21, 20205 yr The yaw oscillations in the video of the A320 at cruise, looks to be caused by weather redraws and/or turbulence. Also, in both videos featuring the A320, I don't see it as being particularly twitchy. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 21, 20205 yr Once again I see absolutely no issues in the flight modelling of the A320 in the video. It looks like turbulence to me, but in any case handling is incredibly sensitive in the cruise. The tail on the Airbus is most affected, things can be relatively smooth in the flight deck whilst the tail bumps around.
July 21, 20205 yr It's impossible to judge a flight model from a video without actually flying it yourself. A lot of flight models are tuned to behave accurately when flown within the normal flight envelope. That video with the landing bounce clearly shows it was being flown well outside that. July 21, 20205 yr I think my favorite one so far has to be the Miami leak. What a beauty. I'm not sure why MS and Asobo bother about the leaks to be honest, they have completely lost control over the last 48 hours. As soon as they shut one down on YT, it reappears somewhere else.
July 21, 20205 yr As long as it's there... some lo-res NYC and SFO action with almost down-to-street level. Still quite some bridge problems there, as the cars flying up the cables and the street ortho down below the actual 3d models... 🤪 Hard to believe those runways still look like freshly paved. Not a trace of skidmarks, unbelivable. I wonder when this is gonna get a fix. And once again we witness some exceptional piloting skills, dropping the gear at 380 knots on short final. Neat. 🙄 Edited July 21, 20205 yr by badderjet
July 21, 20205 yr The A320 leak video is 2-3 months old at this point. There is a newer version .. Edited July 21, 20205 yr by memhir_abrari
July 21, 20205 yr The New York city one on YT is amazing. It appears they have totally sorted bridges out. Also, for once the guy is flying at very low altitude and you can get an excellent feel for how the buildings are going to look at very close range. And they look superb.

Just remember that quality of photogrammetry varies. My city looks good at 1000+ feet, but there's distortion when you get closer. It's gonna be inconsistent, but that's expected with the data source.
