I'm happy for them. I'm trying to figure out what's causing the stutters, because the hardware is the same.

How much ram do you have and at what level of utilisation is it at?

Are you using ultra textures?

Imo stuttering won't be caused by GPU bottleneck, neither will it be caused by scenery loading/streaming - it has to be CPU and/or RAM issue during the immediate computation of the scene and AI - imo

Yes, textures at Ultra. AI off. Same hardware and settings I had before final version, but one difference: I moved MSFS to a NVME SSD. I´m going to put it back to HDD to see what happens.

I am glad I was able to bring some happiness into your life and that you are the kind of person who can feel joy when others are happy. Have a great weekend, E67!

Most of the supersonic time is over water, so no terrain to cause stutters in any event.

The XP comment is interesting

The writing is on the wall for those sims.

Most devs will go where the customers are. But XP has a passionate community including some devs. Regarding the subsequent typical hassle with patching together components (FMC from this dev, model from that dev...), my guess is that it will be more of a nerd corner again. Prices may rise as well.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

Yeah.  A hundred years from now they'll all be ancient history.  And the order of their passing will be neither important nor remembered.

Every time you think to yourself, "<name> sim is dead!" remember how many people still fly FS9.  Not much new payware for it these days though... 😄

It's bad enough that someone's favorite sim might no longer be supported.  There's no need to rub it in.  All these sims have some things that keep people using them.  Like FS9.

Maybe because you, Nedo68, and Zemez are running 8-core CPU (9900K). Mine is 4-core CPU (4790K) that goes 100% usage when loading new terrain.

Emerson67 i would understand if you have stutters in slew mode or drone mode at Mach 4, but in normal flying speed i dont see your 4-core CPU as a problem., must be something different.

Right on, man. We don't need no tribalism in the flight sim world.

Keep in mind that Concorde was travelling at close to normal jet speeds over land and only went supersonic over the ocean or over very sparse land areas. So should be ok.

Assuming that MFS users fly it "by the book". Virtual people do not file lawsuits

If people are using MFS to do anything but simulate real world flight as accurately as possible, they deserve no sympathy whatsoever! 😉

Which has got me thinking... I do hope someone brings out Concorde-era versions of LHR, CDG & JFK, and an AI traffic pack to match. Departing Heathrow T4 and being the only BA aeroplane there, taking off past T5... the whole experience is going to be RUINED before we even hit the atlantic!

do you have ht on?  and maybe lock at 30 fps?

maybe fsuipc on, that causes stutter, other progs in the backgound..

quite afew ppl have been able to solve stutters, you need to try things.

It was running at 40%-50% CPU usage on alpha and beta versions. There are more users with the same downgrade issue.

When nothing works, flashing bios and a reinstall Windows with fresh drivers is usually the only way to solve problems in my experience.
