September 11, 20205 yr For PC version, I think MS/Asobo should consider remaking the UI, and let the community be involved along the development journey. For instance put out 5 basic UI designs/layouts and let the community vote on which is best. After the basic UI layout and design is coded, show it and then do further rounds of voting for the Menu, Dialogs, Fonts, and color styles etc. Maybe do 3 or 4 rounds of voting for the User Interface, so it can be signed off by the Flight sim community. September 11, 20205 yr 1 minute ago, robnhood said: Maybe I am in the minority but I really like the UI. True. And to be fair, the team will want to use as much code as they can when the port over to Xbox, so it definitely has a console feel. 12 minutes ago, Greazer said: Maybe do 3 or 4 rounds of voting for the User Interface, so it can be signed off by the Flight sim community. After over 30 years of being in the "Flight Sim Community" I am more convinced than ever that this is an impossibility. The community is just too diverse. Review the threads we have in this very forum. What some folks consider game breaking issues, others haven't even experienced. A typical tubeliner pilot is more concerned with an accurate layout of KORD, than if there is a missing GA airport in the backwoods of Maine. To be fair, I haven't touched Flight Sim much in the last decade, so I'm still getting my feet wet with the GA stuff. I haven't even moved to the heavy iron yet. And it is this diversity that prevents us from reaching consensus. What's important to one set of users is not so much to another.
September 11, 20205 yr UI looks fresh and modern. Please no FS5.1-style menu bars (it is available in Dev Mode for those that want it). September 11, 20205 yr Honestly, the UI works and I'd rather spend the time flying. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
September 11, 20205 yr I also quite like the UI and have found it quite convenient to walk through the set up of my flight and be off; and the integrated Marketplace is great. MSFS 2024. September 11, 20205 yr What I REALLY miss, is the efficiency of the right mouse-click drop down. This is hugely convenient, and you can hang a whole lot of options on it. September 11, 20205 yr I have 0 problems with the UI design its a fresh up to date design and for once it only took a couple of trys to find everything. Image removed as image is no longer available.

September 11, 20205 yr I also find the UI good and easy to learn/adopt to. Just takes a few clicks from left to right and you are ready to go. They should and maybe might slightly adjust some areas like the control setup or the nav log, add some in-flight maps functionalities, give a way to edit a new flight plan while still in the plane, but the general GUI is quite good in regards to look/feel and handling as it is in my opinion.
September 11, 20205 yr Here are my wishes concerning the UI. - faster startup / don't push any key - make my selection of live weather stick - more detailed weather info when hovering with the mouse over the globe / map Otherwise I like the UI a lot. No need for radical changes from my point of view. cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px
September 11, 20205 yr You know that feeling you get when you can't quite remember where you found an option? That feeling is completely missing from the UI, which means it works really well imo. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
