October 2, 20205 yr Hello, In the last edition of "Info Pilote", the magazine of the French Federation of Aviation (FFA), we may read that the founder and chief manager of Asobo, Sebastian Wloch, is now learning to get his PPL (Private Pilot Licence) in a "aeroclub" (main aviation schools in France are "aeroclubs") of the Bordeaux region (LFCS). So, I guess we may expect much improvements in the sim, to make it closest as possible from reality... 😉 Intel Core Ultra i7-265KF (3.6 GHz/4.9 GHz), MSI Inspire 3X RTX 5070 TI (16Gb), DDR7 32Go, screen ASUS XG32VQR 32'', Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, Pro Pedal CH Products, TCA Sidestick Airbus, TCA Boeing Yoke Edition, Winwing EFIS Combo, Tobii Eye Tracker
October 2, 20205 yr things work the other way around tho, with each and every patch released, the sim becomes more of a mess !

October 2, 20205 yr There really isn't any need for sarcasm against individuals. A number of people overstepping the line.

I see and experience some issues, bugs, depending where you are, what you do and how you fly. The sim is already come a long way. If you expect bugs and issues to be turned off like a switch, it simply wont happen that way. Go look at P3D and XP update history. Its a slow process, but hardly a mess. October 2, 20205 yr Yep I get it. The sim is not perfect. And some things seem to be more broken. Have to confess I can't understand why, but with the lack of hot fixes, some things QA may get lost in the rush to release updates on a certain date. Hopefully this will be fixed soon though - but I can understand the frustration. Yet on my own system (old i5 4690k) I get great experiences on most flights. It looks amazing and is really a different experience from P3D v5. It has it's limits of course and we are flying limited default planes, but for all that it's amazing. I love how the scenery changes every minute with something new. I love how there's around 22 grass strips on the Falklands and innumerable amazing mountain strips in Papua New Guinea. And how the Drakensburgs and Lesotho in South Africa are amazingly accurate for the first time in Flight Sim history. Things that I especially don't like include, a lot of 'cloud gaps' instead of satellite scenery especially in the tropics and mountain areas where it's most fun to fly. I also don't like the undulating bumpy taxiways - at La Paz it almost impossible to taxi up to the main runway as the slope is so steep. It's great we no longer have flattening, but the mesh is really unrealistic in places. And about the mesh - I really hate rounded looking mountains when they should be sharp - here P3D v5 wins out - in a way. Yet P3D 5 looks mostly very pallid, cartoony and lacking in detail in comparison. So you pays your money and takes your choice. I've been lucky with updates so far - fingers crossed Ray

As do people who have had shooting lessons make super realistic combat games? Really? a new PPL & super realistic complex aircraft. Nope.not going to happen. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... October 2, 20205 yr I'm happy he cares enough about flight to bother, how can that be a bad thing? The amount of vitriol these folks have had slung at them is staggering, and indicative of our current society. I will wait and see what blossoms from Asobo. October 2, 20205 yr That's what people normally do, when they go for their PPL... They care enough about flight. Thousands also care about flight, some have got the inclination & money to get a PPL, others buy MSFS or another sim. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 2, 20205 yr Whatever said and done, this sim is miles(decades?) ahead of anything produced so far. Once third party aircraft come in, i will enjoy it much more( not a fan of INOP). thus far i am enjoying the mooney in all its non study level glory. Kudos to the developers. Colonel,Indian Army.
