October 28, 20205 yr Author A fix for the issue with the mixture simulation in propeller planes is being tested with a couple of planes and they're looking to deploy it across all affected aircraft. For the next year, they are looking to implement VR support, release the game to Xbox, add a multi-threaded flight model with many improvements, add ways to visualise the flight model reacting to the weather, and most wishlist items in the Feedback Snapshot will be implemented. All parts of the team are growing and they are committed to listening to feedback and making the simulator even more awesome. Contrails are coming really soon. Next Developer Q&A confirmed for next month. Edited October 28, 20205 yr by ChaoticBeauty

They also just stated that METAR data is used for airports and ground level, while Meteoblue data is used for higher altitudes. Actually they said this fix, since it is server-side (old weather data) is now fixed. Timing of when you see it depends on CDN update schedule. October 28, 20205 yr Yeas for mixture fix! YES! This is excellent start to bring proper simulation! October 28, 20205 yr I liked it. The only thing that didn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling was when they talked about lightening. "We know about some reports about excessive lightening over Bahamas..."??? I see this pretty much everywhere. Surprised they did not know more about this. Its good to have the CEO representing, but maybe he should have some Senior Developers joining as well. Not just the head producer. I should add, I have not experienced this issue either. I'm just reporting what the Devs are talking about. Can you go to KORD and post a pic of what it looks like between the airport and downtown chicago? That area is a good indicator of the LOD issues. On ultra its drawing in objects almost right below my plane. Look at a mile or so and its nothing there. Same with Miami, NY, LA to name a few and other cities. Not doubting you may not have the issues, i'm just curious as to what others see. Maybe we have different tolerances for how far things should be drawn.
October 28, 20205 yr Unfortunately the "community manager" doesn't seem to be up to her task: Apart from the poorly structured "interview" there were very specific questions for "AI" and "Live weather", very well summarized and condensed by the OP's in the top posts of the respective threads in the Q&A forum - and it seemed as if she hadn't understood them at all. To me it seemed more improvised than prepared - and a wasted opportunity sadly. Asus ROG STRIX X870-E Gaming; Ryzen9 9950X3D; RX9070XT; 96GB RAM; 4GB/2GB M.2 SSD; 8GB HDD; LG 45GX90SA-B
October 28, 20205 yr I agree with you, @Tom_L. She seems very pretty, but what is the point of the topics that you can vote on, with explanations of the issue, if everything gets lost in translation so that the devs have to ask "What specifically with the AP are you referring - the AP is a very big topic?"... And then she spends time reading question from twitch chat when she only had commented on 2 of a LONG LIST of prepared questions from the forums. BAD FORMAT! Sounds like the developers are not getting enough feedback from players, for whatever reason. Does the Zendesk even talk back and forth with the developers? The lightning is a very common problem, unbelievable they only heard vague reports about the Bahamas... Edited October 28, 20205 yr by NightOfDreams

October 28, 20205 yr Lots of positive information coming out of this live stream. Excited to hear they finally found the live WX discrepancies are fixed on server side. SDK also seems to have a high focus of progression, and hopefully this adjusts the schedule of future aircraft development for the better. Pointed out, is there is alot of teams working on things, and in fact new hirings to accelerate issues bugs and features. Clearly we also need to be patient, something thats not easy to do in a have it right now world or else. A year from now, I can see this sim with alot of maturity coming together. Thanks to the team for the in depth updates. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
October 28, 20205 yr Author One hour is not really enough to go into the specifics of each issue. They already had to skip over most of the Feedback Snapshot and forum questions to talk about those specifics, which did not happen in the last Q&A and the community manager probably did not anticipate this. Some preparation could have helped, though I'm not blaming anyone specifically. To be fair, at least she corrected the question about the scenery gateway system that she had gotten wrong in the previous Q&A.
