How did you fix the 10 degree heading bug with FSUIPC?

I'd like to know the answer also, please?

YES, YES & YES!

I will always support whatever @Pete Dowson and @John Dowson create- pure genius and very necessary for me with all my HW.

OK. You talked me into it. 😀

In all seriousness, I need my LGT to work and configuring joysticks is something that I will need to do with this sim.

I purchased FSUIPC 7 as soon as it was payware with a nice discount. However, I would have bought it without a discount.

Would not take off without it. It is great to assign the throttle quadrant switches to stuff again! 🙂

For me the ability to have multiple controllers plugged in and auto assign them to specific aircraft is the big deal. I can't fly without it. Also it provides more accurate calibration than the windows utility.

I believe the 10 degree issue is resolved by using FSUIPC to manually assign the several "always on" controls.

If one is really serious about fine tuning controllers, then FSUIPC7 is a must. Considering that Asobo has meddled with the built-in controller logic a few times already, having FSUIPC7 is a good insurance policy.

As the MSFS SDK evolves🤞, more FSUIPC functions will become active. Its AI traffic limiter is sorely missing from MSFS, as using AIG flightplans will cause an enormous amount of AI traffic to eventually bog down performance. The MSFS UI AI activity percentage slider is really not the solution as the absolute maximum number of active AI aircraft is really what controls performance.

I understand where you are coming from on the 10° incrementing.  It is not specific by the way to Honeycomb Alpha.  It is there with other devices, and one developer around here says that issue has been around with some controllers in FS versions for over 20 years.  I was avoiding it by unbinding the Alpha switches as the VC switches in most MSFS aircraft are very easy to identify and use.  But then after reading yet another discussion on this issue I rebound my switches.

What I learned is that I can much more quickly adjust heading and course with the mouse wheel in those 10° increments, and then use mouse button clicks to narrow down in 1° increments.  I am making major adjustments much more quickly, like when setting my initial takeoff heading while parked doing my pre-flight.

Not at all going to say hey, smart design...  LOL.  Just that I have found a way to use it despite itself.  I was not previously aware of the 1° mouse click action.

Ha!  I too will take a good hard look at it.  I have used FSUIPC for many years in FSX, but was always bewildered by Linda/LUA scripts.

Does FSUIPC v7 when used with MSFS have the feature to at a selected interval save flights in progress?

Negative.

It's very good IF you can install it. I've just paid for v7 from SimMarket, downloaded it tried to install it and tried to register it. Borked! I tried to download it again but the download isn't available nor is the forum. I'm not happy.

Not at this time. If it becomes a necessary item, then, yeah. With the last update, I don't need it.

I tried the demo, and this after using the P3D version for years, and I didn't like how it worked with MSFS. Maybe the installation didn't go right. It was clumsy to use.

Unbinding all 2-position switches and magneto switch in the sim and binding in FSUIPC. Right, both, start positions of magneto switch require LUA script. All well documented on this and FSUIPC forums.

My downloaded version installed and registered with no issues, however the .pdf files and LUA folder and zip were installed in the C drive and not in the FSUIPC folder. So, the installer could use some improvement.

If it brings Autosave to the table, I will purchase it. Autosave was a huge help in P3D for me.

Autosave not operational, the sim having issues with loading autosaved files.

Thanks for the reminder. I did read that somewhere.

When I first bought it from Simmarket my download link was not in my account.  I emailed Simmarket support and was supplied a link pretty quickly.
