Little "save" circle at bottom right

Featured Replies

This is a very minor thing but I stlil manage to get annoyed by it, every 5 minutes or so I get a little spinning circle in the bottom right corner as if it's "saving" something. What does it really mean and can I get rid of it?

I noticed that a few times also. I have no clue what it is.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

My guess its synching/communicating with the server and i dont think you can remove it.

it's the equivalent of the old hourglass icon. It means your system is busy doing something

It is really starting to annoy me. It seems to happen more and more lately unless I am just noticing it more.

It is distracting and we really don't need to see it.  I hope Asobo can get rid of it.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I believe it's loading the scenery

It drives me nuts.

Most of my flights are in a relatively small area, and I get that from the word go regardless of that area being cached (manually). We really do not need to know when FS is thinking – it's supposed to process data. Do it quietly.

Have you got the scenery cacheing system switched on. If so, turn it off, might be that, especially if you are on a HDD, not a SSD.

It does it whenever it's loading anything, including streaming scenery.

For what’s it’s worth, I never see this in flight. The only time I ever see that circle is during the loading process. So it must point to your set up. Turn cache system off. Why do you have it on? Is your internet capped or very slow. If so, that might be the problem. WiFi or cable? Are you running from a HDD or an SSD for the sim and for Windows? Running other programs in the background. Antivirus? Something running on task scheduler?

You need to look internally for the solution as this is not a common problem with everyone. Expecting Asobo to fix such a problem is probably not going to happen.

It only happens the times that Bill Gates is spying on the user.

I see this, maybe, twice a flight, for a second or two, but, sure, let's file a report at Zendesk and get this to the top of the list!

It is also amazing how people feel the need to belittle an issue if it doesn't affect them - very helpful. 🙂  If it doesn't affect you, just read over it and move on rather than try to ridicule the issue.

Now, if you feel like sticking around and listening to a reasoned argument, this issue is obviously subjective, but it drives me nuts.  I have ALL caching turned off as I found it can caused stutters, and I also have a really poor internet connection of about 3MB/s ☹️.  So for me the circle is popping up a lot, I believe it is the photogrammety trying to keep up and failing, along with the internet based azure ATC, which also lags really badly due to my poor connection (been promised a high speed fibre connection for three years, still no joy).

Now, when you are flying and keeping an eye on the cockpit displays for warning lights etc. (as every good pilot should 🙂 ) this spinning circle popping up every few seconds is quite distracting; also, there is simply no need for it.

Like I say, if it doesn't affect you, great - I am genuinely pleased for you! 👍
