Did I suggest either of these things?

Yes, with the line “Sony’s developer for Cyberpunk”

The apostrophe S implied ownership.

I apologize if that wasn’t the intent.

Apostrophes are tricky things and they're not always that simple; without noting the context of the sentence they are used in they could mean a lot of things because grammatical possession is not the same as ownership. If I got on a bus, I could tell you my bus's registration number, but that apostrophe doesn't mean I own a bus, nor does it mean the bus owns a registration plate or the number on the plate, but the registration plate and the number does nevertheless belong to the bus, despite it all being owned by another. 😉

Not least because they'll be aware of the very large hat Sony just had to eat in pulling their much-vaunted Cyberpunk 2077 game owing to poor performance on older consoles and a few other issues.

Except that you literally said it is their game... No real tricky grammatical confusion there. It is not their game, it is/was just available on their platform.

Anyway, off-topic.

When it is on a Sony platform, it is their game, and it's their format's version which has been pulled, which is what I was talking about. Jeez, it's not hard to follow, and anyway, who gives a flying eff who made it, it's hardly the point of the discussion.

Ah yes, so by extension of that reasoning, MFS is an Aerosoft product because they sell it on their platform. Can someone inform Asobo & Microsoft of this perhaps, see how they feel about this.

Man, this forum and its posters are a drag. Lecturing people on grammar while somehow thinking the above is solid logic.

I used to think "if only a Flight Simulator could look as good as Euro Truck Simulator"....

Now I think, if only Euro Truck Simulator could look as good as a Flight Sim 🙂

It was only pulled because of their refund policy. They don't issue refunds for games that are still being sold on their store.

So the only way they could give refunds was to pull it. Other platforms, like Steam, and X-Box don't have that kind of restriction.

To be fair, you're a poster here. You're one of us now. 🤣

I've never known you to care much about saving face, Alan. Looked like a simple mistake to me. Not worth the uphill battle.

Back on topic, does anyone know if we'll see this bird before Christmas?

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.

I came here to read about the CRJ. I got a lot more than I bargained for.

I'd have guessed so from a marketing point of view, but I'd rather prefer if they take their tame to iron it out.

Happy with MSFS 🙂
home simming evolved

I surmise from reading the Aerosoft forum that they are waiting for Asobo to push the update tomorrow and then they will release the CRJ pretty soon thereafter, assuming the update does not create a "showstopper". If not before Christmas, I think it will come soon after.

I spent many hours as a passenger in the 705 when Air Canada used them extensively to fly to and between the prairie cities, so I am interested in this one and looking forward to the initial reviews. At the same time I am torn because I am really enjoying GA flying and the thought of an airliner feels a little "heavy."

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

The CRJ705 was great...it was a strange time when one could look forward to getting a CRJ flight because of the leg room!

Yep, unfortunately, there is a fairly large number of so-called flight simmers that enjoy Aerosoft Bashing and are delighted to have something like this CRJ to vent their frustrations. I for one, am looking forward to the imminent release in the next few days (or whenever it is ready).

I have always preferred the slightly less than study level models.  Mainly because no one seems to actually to be able to define "study level".  I like this one because the cockpit and panel looks a lot like one of the larger Citations and also similar enough to the B737 to work for me.  The fact that DA/Aerosoft is spending so much time with the documentation, the flight tutorial, the hints and helpers really works for me.  The built-in EFB is also a big plus.

This bunch of self-centered, know it alls, that probably couldn't fly a kite on a windy day are just one of those necessary evils that we have to put up with in the public forums.

Keep dismissing everyone who bought the original CRJ from Aerosoft and got shafted (Aeroshaft?). Don't say we didn't warn you after you buy it on day one and actually use it and see where Aerosoft cut corners to meet their release date.
