Liverpool airport is probably Gaya based on the texturing.

As in the Hampton is actually called as such. Asobo avoids putting real names on things.

I rather see Baron from Milviz instead of SR-71

Not Baron but C-310 incoming.

I am really concerned about information on the way the wx system works within the sim will not be released nor is planned to be released.  The abiilty to interact with real time wx (i.e. receive distant airport metars in the sim, ect...) will make things for wx developers  very difficult.  It may be a few years before we see third party plugins.

That'd be Stearman. It's named after company founder Lloyd Stearman, and the plane itself is the Boeing Stearman Model 75 Kaydet.

These weekly "blogs" are utterly pointless, I'll say it...again...Monthly Roadmaps can be so so much better with greater insights, more detailed information on what's happening, better more detailed information on what's coming up etc etc.

Follow the example set by Sim Racing Devs and put more effort into these so called "blogs" please Asobo/Microsoft.

Edit: look at the difference, if you split this Roadmap up into four weekly parts you'd still be getting a lot more information than the MSF2020 "weekly blog". If you're not gonna do it monthly then make more effort weekly, one Paragraph does not equal a "blog".

I read them in the vain hope they'll improve, I guess I've been spoilt to see other Devs put more effort into them than what is happening here with Asobo/Microsoft.

There is someone who generally puts one star to most topics. Probably with an agenda. Weird stuff.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

You're welcome to only read the updates on a monthly basis. You'll also be able to take in the Q&A at the same time.

Give people power to really test their personality.

I was just about to question why the MSFS version of Land's End airport has hard runways, so I checked the NATS AIS website airport chart to be sure. I had absolutely no idea that runway 16/34 and runway 07/25 had been upgraded from grass to asphalt!

Even if these development updates have been feeling stale for quite some time, it means that we get any new information as soon as possible so I don't really mind them (now we have dates for World Update 4 and Sim Update 4 for example). Checking them once per month or just watching the monthly Q&A is certainly a viable solution.

By the way, you are always welcome to visit the official forums and leave your opinion regarding these development updates in the relevant discussion thread. Jayne is usually there taking feedback and sometimes asking what people want to see improved.

This actually happens to all threads I create, be it a development update, patch release, developer interview, general information, and even the water masks. Most of the time, within minutes after the thread's creation. It's quite amusing.

You can just ask them in the monthly Q&A. Asobo gives a lot of information in those monthly Q&A Twitch streams.

To be honest, the transparency and community engagement by Asobo is one of their strengths.  I have no complaints that Asobo is continually engaging with the community (ie. the monthly Q&A, allowing us to upvote bugs and wishes and then they answer it).  If anything, Asobo's engagement with the community is something that I think they do quite well.

I have been critical of Asobo in other areas, but as for their transparency and community engagement, I give them very high marks for that.

That won't change the lack of actual information and foresight, they could add so much more even just weekly. Wouldn't you want a more comprehensive blog as opposed to one with just one paragraph?
