Often the community is better adept than Asobo at resolving Asobo's problems.

Is it not our job to do this for them?

That's because they are not focused on X Box.

Sorry, I guess that was a bit harsh.

When you think of the community input regarding this sim, one has to realize that there are enormous benefits to the general community being both beta testers and a large contribution into the "fixes"

Asobo say they are listening to the community and they must be getting some incredible value out of it as well.

Wow, sounds like a major shakeup to me.

Or an incredible success and they have more work due to that success.

Amazing...as soon as I read this thread title...it dawned on me...

Yep, I always get the stutter show just when hitting the Class be perimeter...hopefully now (if confirmed) Asobo can quickly sort this out.

This is some impressive sleuthing and quite interesting.  I have been able to fly the CRJ around lately without too many issues (Terrain LOD set to 80).  I did a short flight from KDCA to KPHL last night and as I approached Wilmington DE (KILM) I hit the FPS 'wall'.  I just checked the sectional and yup...right on the border of KPHL Class B.  I had single digit FPS for about 1-2 minutes and then "broke through" back to smoother conditions....

This might explain why NZ is smoother - not a lot of Class B/C airspace there.

This is why MS and Asobo give importance to the Hobbyist community... The number of experienced simmers is a huge pool out there.. considering the number of  employees they can economically hire for this. So it's understandable, the collective aggregate power of the Hobbyist is a huge asset for MS/ASOBO and they realize it.

It's an interesting observation; however, flew LAS-LAX yesterday and it was fine. Both airports are in class Bravo. Today I flew to Dallas and it was a slide show to the pint that I had to terminate MSFS! LOL

I just replicated this exact scenario and my fps dropped to 2fps. This guy is definitely on to something.

I think this is just one of at least a couple performance issues. This one is very localized and results in a slide show.

My issue is that I’m seeing 15-20FPS almost everywhere when I was 40-45FPS previously. Both CPU and GPU utilization is in the toilet. I think this is more common based on what I’ve read... and there’s no clues (yet) as to what’s causing this more general performance issue.

Ive practically stopped using the sim because of this . No im not one of the ones who demands everything immediately but up until yesterday it hadnt dawned on me that im not flying anymore . Shame because this coincided with the release of two excellent aircraft , the JF arrow and CRJ . I will be back when they sort it out got other stuff to do anyway . I want my trees back .
