March 27, 20215 yr A short flight over New Jersey and then New York. Got the same stuttering over Newark. Will continue testing in other areas. As Asobo said, the issues are not totally cured, but just improved in some areas, it seems. March 27, 20215 yr I did just 2 short tests - a short flight around ENCN from GAYA and a short hop around EGLC with Orbx Airport and Landmarks, both with the WT CJ4: performance seems improved, no stutters! Some were reporting the same observations. I don't get that though... if it's a bug they should take care of the bug, not degrade the visuals in any way. I don't understand why would they do that except if the bug was not actually eliminated and they did what the official support was suggesting to people complaining about that all along - lower the settings. I'd be interested to know how you think I managed to do something, which according to you is impossible. The assumptions people have how updating a computer works are obviously deeply flawed. You can exchange EVERY component and then just connect all your old hard drives and SSD's with the OS installed as it was. It will just reconfigure itself and you will have not lost one single ounce of data or a single part of your setup.
March 27, 20215 yr I'm getting the same as others - framerate is improved but still not great compared to previous versions. I'm sitting at 10-12 fps flying over central Florida between Naples and Miami. Menu performance is still sluggish, so they haven't squashed the bug they introduced in the last update. March 27, 20215 yr I really hope to one day be able to see if performance is fixed, but this installer is just a disaster. When I had 30Mbps internet it took over a day to install MSFS but at least it worked. Now that I have Gigabit speed internet this installer is a complete wreck. It got stuck on one file, and now it is reinstalling the entire game. What century are we living in Asobo? Fix the word not allowed installer. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
March 27, 20215 yr Continuing my flight to the Caribbean in the FBW A320, FL350 over Bimini and fps started trending upward, from a low of 10 to a high of 13, but spending more time between 12 and 13 than down at 10 as it had been doing over Florida. Which would seem to decidedly refute the idea that this problem is related to large airports. Further evidence that it's not big airports, as I approached Andros in the Bahamas, the FPS went back down to hovering around 10 with very occasional spikes to 12. I'm also noticing that in addition to the settings menus being very sluggish, the sim is also not polling inputs very often, requiring me to click buttons several times before it registers. March 27, 20215 yr I flew EGCC to EGKK like night in the CRJ, some stutters under 10k but put this down to my aging i7 and 1070 and fact CRJ is probs most taxing aircraft on FPS. Right now in the RY Bonanza flying RJSS RJCK not one single stutter. So it really depends on sim load & aircraft plus how good your rig is. Not going to fix all stutters, this is just flight sim. Although when XP11 moved to Vulcan this made a massive difference on the smoothness so maybe until that day......we just need suck it up. Thomas Derbyshire
