Strange, I have no idea then I am afraid. Something is eating your memory though and thats what is causing the issues.

If I was already on 1.14.5.0, why would the update try to re-download 1.14.5.0 over again instead of 1.14.6.0?  My update has been going on for hours and still not updated.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

Just flew EGCC to EGKK in the CRJ - some stutters and FPS drops below 10k but better than the other night (pre patch).  I'll put this down to my aging i7 and 1070 considering the CRJ has a lot going on.  I'm sure flying something a bit lighter in complexity I would see better.

Someone posted a comparison the other day of different aircraft versus FPS. The biggest loss i FPS was the CRJ.

Okay guys good news, I am back to pre SU3 performance, getting like 35fps-40 on FBW with autopilot. The issue in my case was the HT, I switched it off and the it went back to normal. Thanks for the help!

I had a 165MB update, but it kept looping on one file, so I restarted, now it's making me download 26GB fudge.

My frame rates still dip in the usual areas but its much smoother and acceptable now

Yeah several others including myself were caught in that loop, I'm just d/l the 28 gig. See what happens.

Usually limiting the network speed stops the loop for me, but my NetlLmiter 4 trial expired, so I couldn't test it. So I just restarted.

Great news that he last 'update' that didn't update has been fixed.

Now, Asobo MUST learn the lesson for the umpteenth time - DO NOT RELEASE ANY UPDATE UNTIL IT HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY BETA TESTED!

When looping starts, and reducing internet data speed does not help, this is probably the first thing to try: Go to the folder where the update files are being stored temporarily. Find the latest one (by date tag) and move it to desktop or delete it to recycle bin for storage. Close and reopen MSFS.

The latest one you find in that folder should not be the looping file, it should be the file immediately before the looping file (the looping file will not be in the folder).

My experience just last night when I was forced to redownload the entire MSFS installation, all 150+ GB: everything went smoothly for an hour on my slow internet computer and then one file started looping. It looped for 2 hours as I tried to find solution. I then located the file that had downloaded immediately before the looping file, and deleted it.

At that point the rest of the 150 GB all downloaded straight away without a hint of a loop (it took over 3 hours, but not a single loop).

Had I not deleted that file it might have taken over 25 hours to download the 150 GB (because of the looping).

So where does MSFS place these temp files? I'm running the MSFS edition not Steam!

It's a special Tuskin edition where everything continues to be perfect. LOL
