my CPU does not support BAR, so I did a bit more testing:

1) Install new driver -> BAR by default disabled on my system

2) Revert back, update vBIOS and then update driver -> BAR disabled by default

--> In both cases CTD of P3D

I am back to the old driver now, seems this crash has nothing todo with the BAR settings.

Same! Let the GForce panel install the driver fired up P3DV5- CTD. Tried several times same outcome - reverted back to the previous driver (always keep copies folks) and back to normal.

Issue reported on various sim sites including P3D Forums. Again another change for other users that has outcomes unintended! Sigh why is this becoming so common these days!

I am not sure if this is a P3D issue or a Nvidia Driver issue with nasty sideeffect on P3D.

I am going to guess it's a driver issue.

Broke for me too

After several installations/uninstallations, it is a problem caused by these last drivers !

Exactly!

Been rock stable on 461.09 since its release and saw nothing in the release notes for 465.89 that would make me want to update.

Hello

For any users considering "Rolling Back" Nvidea drivers, please read the documentation as Nvidea advises against this process

"To reinstall a previous or older NVIDIA graphics driver, do not use the Windows rollback feature. This method will not reliably restore all the previous driver files. Instead, use the Windows Add and Remove programs to remove the current driver, and then install the older driver using setup.exe"

Just use DDU. This removes all files and entries.
