There is other OS alternative. You are not forced to use Windows 10 or 11.

Sure, but then I won't be able to use msfs.

MSFS works on Linux if you have the Steam version.

Steam Proton and wine emulation.

I survived the Windows Update upgrade. It went great, with no issues.

I updated my NVIDIA drivers to the latest.

I've been flying for 15 minutes, no issues yet.

By using the motor car and not horse and carriage, you’re speeding up the demise of horses and carriages.

So Windows 8 and 10 are the old horses I suppose, and Windows 11 is the new motor car, a great leap forward in terms of speed, freedom and user control.   Except in reality Windows 11 is just Windows 10 with some glitzy shell modifications, and a downgrade of numerous functions found in previous versions.

Its like cutting the tail and ears of a horse, then putting a fancy 'go faster' coat on him and calling it progress.

I wonder how many remember what Windows 10 was like when it first came out....????

Whoever created that [Reddit] might not be very adaptable. Most of that stuff I never even missed,

Microsoft' is gradually whittling down Windows to a point where user control will be minimal yet more complex. To quote a commentator in the article below:

"Oh yeah... kill the control panel... after all who doesn't like doing the same job with 14 clicks instead of 3".

you don't. You installed Steam on Linux and you install the game. Not rocket science at all

It was a joke. 🙂

But that's good to know. I wasn't aware it worked on Linux.

You are if you MSFS, which I think the majority of users in here are?

I use a Mac for my daily use, so I see no reason to upgrade my desktop PC as long as Win-11 does not give me any advantage in MSFS.
