Here 2 screenshots around 11.00h. Not supersharp but you will get the idea. EA with AS controlling the VolumetricClouds.cfg : https://www.dropbox.com/s/6tbr4aj2m2krw0j/Foto 04-07-2021 09 10 54.jpg?dl=0 But I prefer the new default VolumetricClouds.cfg with AS : https://www.dropbox.com/s/9gmsvzklh5upvqq/Foto 04-07-2021 09 21 13.jpg?dl=0 So which one do you use eventually?

July 5, 20214 yr I have now taken reverted back to the original LM Shaders and not using ENVSHADE at the moment. (Note this meant deleting the SHADER folder and then using the repair function to get P3D to rebuild and restore the folder to its new condition. I could not really see that using shader mods made any real significant difference, that is whal LM have come up with now does the job without the need for tweaking. Others may see it differently. The difference between the sim and real life is that the sim cannot reproduce that sunset because there is no way to reproduce the effect of smoke in the atmosphere, you will also note the slightly fuzzy greyish-blue look to the surroundings in real life - that is salt air doing that again two real world variables that can be there one day gone the next. There is a signiicant shift in the subtlety of light now in this sim that has taken me a while to appreciate - that minute by minute dependent on the view angle, time of day etc., will change the amount of light, the reflections and shadows. I tried the same time and settings with light cloud about this produced the Godray effect from time to time as the light changed. Some parts of the world you may never see that Godray effect here in Australia it is frequent and common which is why the military hat badge emblem of the sun is stylised to show Godrays. I think this is equally applcable when viewed from inside the cockpit as well which would explain to me a lot of peoples grief about dark cockpits, some are some are not, depends more on the textures used by the modeller it seems to me. July 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member With AS visibility in every category set to 200 NM / maximum, I'm still seeing the white band on the horizon. July 16, 20214 yr You know what? I've turned everything off: EA, HDR (in sim and Chaseplane) and I'm using ASCA along with ActiveSky. In other words, back to the beginnings, to the most basic (FSX days or P3D 3.x). I honestly like it. I'll make a flight with these settings to see if I like it. July 16, 20214 yr With 5.2 HF1 I realized recently, when panning the view, the silhoutte of the mountains on the horizone changes dramatically. Should have filmed it. The mountain goes down and up about half of its height and the shape is completely changed. I can see this at Emmen airfield (LSME) looking towards Pilatus mountain. If I turn EA off, this does not happen. I use Active Sky, ASCA and ENVShade, ENVTex. Is it a problem of my settings or addons? It is a shader issue which other Beta Testers and I reported already to LM and they didn´t repair it for 5.2 or it´s HF. Actually it are clouds, which should be rendered "behind" the mountains, but they are rendered in front of them and this changes when panning the view. Mountains are hide or shown depending on your view angle. We hope this gets fixed soon as the views at mountains terrain are horrible with this bug. Regards Marcus Regards, Marcus P.

Too much hassle and 'flaffing' about with all the EA, HDR, bloom, saturation etc. 😁 The only difference I'm running from you is REX clouds and I also have cloud reflections off. I find it extremely 'not true to life' as it would have to be very still water to mirror the clouds as P3D does. But sure, 'each to their own' as they say. Edited July 16, 20214 yr by Sparkrite
