July 17, 20214 yr ORBX has released their updated version of Brisbane International (YBBN) for MSFS2020. They are offering a 50% cross platform discount if you own a previous version. I was able to pick this up for $8.10 USD.

July 18, 20214 yr Yay. Haven't flown out of Brissie since early 2020, but at least can check out the 2nd runway changes virtually now 🙂 Edited July 18, 20214 yr by RobF2
July 18, 20214 yr There is also a discount of 20% if you own the Brisbane City for MSFS. Picked this up today, after a quick circuit or two seems to perform OK and looks OK on first inspection. Will record a video fly-by when I have more time.
July 18, 20214 yr Great value if all you are wanting is the extra runway, taxiways, aprons etc. But it's not a full make-over and not brought up to date in everything including PBR, as claimed - and it's certainly a country mile behind the quality of Impulse's recent release of Adelaide YPAD. Orbx didn't even ensure that the signage for the Qantas domestic terminal is current - its about 4-5 years out of date, and much detail is missing from terminal buildings. I am OK with it, as I got the 50% discount as a previous owner - but I would have felt severely ripped off if I had paid full price. Cheers, Brian L Robinson Flight Simmer since 1983 - loving the brilliant Quality Wings 787 and all PMDG models!!
July 18, 20214 yr Looks like the feedback is far from good. Take a look at this already locked topic on the Orbx forums... https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/208928-ybbn-reworked/ Edited July 18, 20214 yr by steve310002
July 18, 20214 yr And another dev locking threads that are not in their favour. What a bummer... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
July 18, 20214 yr And some of us had thought things had changed under the new management. Harry Woodrow
July 18, 20214 yr It’s not too bad. Definitely still better than default but maybe an update will be released with further detail MSFS 2024
July 18, 20214 yr Sadly getting worse... They fooled me once with Malmo... Fooled me twice with Gothenburg. Passed. And I'm not talking about fancy interiors. Basic stuff like jetways is what I at least would expect. Other devs have clearly shown that custom jetways are working nice and smooth. Sad to see a once noticed for quality addons dev is going the wrong road... Cheers T.
July 18, 20214 yr I must admit to being disappointed lately. I recently bought UK Southampton and it was a bit ordinary and underwhelming. I will hold off on any further Orbx purchases until they pick their game up. Unfortunately, I just bought the C140 from there thinking I would keep stuff together in Orbx Central to make it easier, but the updates seem a bit slow coming through. Still no 1.2.1 update listed. No doubt about it. We are getting plenty of choice with developers moving over to MSFS, but is is also becoming a bit of a cash cow - do a few tweaks from an FSX / P3D version, and throw it out there! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
July 18, 20214 yr Its speak volums when Ed locks a topic when they dont get the normal worshipers blowing hot air at them. How bad does that look. But for £6 its fine for what it is. A good beer costs close to that and is gone in 10 mins. Orbx are not what they use to be. But the Cult over there is the same. Edited July 18, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden. July 18, 20214 yr No doubt they're finding the MSFS world a lot more competitive now freeware developers have decent tools and object libraries to choose from, but still appreciate a decent upgrade to this local airport for $10 AUD.
July 18, 20214 yr I think Orbx will need to rethink their approach to MSFS - but that's just me looking from a frog's perspective. I am a long time customer and I have already purchased several MSFS addons via their convenient OrbxDirect tool. But I have to say since MSFS the best pieces of work are mostly from their "partner" developers (Gaya, Pilotplus, Digital Design - to name just a few), not Orbx themselves. And their recently introduced "Throwback" series (EGHI, EGPB) literally throws you back to FSX days qualitywise imho and is only bearable with the discount in the first two days - if ever. I am for sure not going to buy sub par quality for ever only because it is discounted. Over time it will definitely shape my view of a developer or brand, and there are other tools like Contrail or MSFS Addon linker to manage addon airports comfortably. That said, there are still some talented developers over there and I hope some of the upcoming sceneries will be better. In the end it will all depend on sales figures, not on opinions....
