Try logging out of the xbox app and MS store. Then restart your PC and log back in to see if it fixes things...

Did that! Also tried repair app. Seems like a evil loop! LOL

sheesh. Looks like others on the official forums are having the same issue as well so may be an authentication issue on the server side...

Just over 7 hours gone and I'm at 71% (303/340).

I suppose I should be grateful we're not all trying to download this on a 28 or 56 kbs dial-up modem! 🙄

OS:     Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU:  MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB]
SSD:  Corsair Force MP510 (for OS);  2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)
HDD:  Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

Weird…mine won’t even detect that an update is available. I’ve tried restarting the PC, rechecking for updates in the MS store, restarting the sim. Nothing…just loads up the old version and runs.

The good news...install was wuick and painless!

The bad news...I tried the flight I longed to test most, flying due South from KRNT to see if they fixed the severe stufters I experienced south of Sea Tac...all smooth 60 FPS until the first point that used to cause stutters, only this time no stutters at all, just a very repeatable CTD 😞

Would be interested in your experiences with this...something must be causing this CTD (and I have add ons all turned off).

Mine's been stuck at 51% for hours...

Look on the bright side - maybe most people will have downloaded it by the time it works for you, and you'll get a faster install than the rest of us.

Just VPN'd to the US from the UK and gone from 600-700kb/s to 3mb/s.  Might be an idea, to play with it if you have one.

Looks to me that a lot of downloaded content is just changes to pages, things are arranged on a page differently, some stuff has different naming. They rearranged a lot in almost all of the UI's. I can't really argue about how they changed that stuff. (and I don't have any fps stutters anywhere, Yet)  I'm still getting a strong, consistent 30 frame rate. and I haven't checked yet if any graphic settings got changed, like what happened with joystick button assignments.

I usually reset my graphics to default then tweak them with every patch anyways just in case.

Did a fly over southern Ca. in the C-152 45-low 50 fps range on 'High setting'. Very smooth.

Update went fine! All ready to go! But when I started MSFS I get the message "internetconnection lost" And the sim crasches/shuts down... Ideas? 😥

I got thrown off the downloads from Content Manager. Told me my connection was down and the servers couldn’t be contacted. My connection was fine.

Anyone know why Content Manager downloads are using so much GPU and pinning the GPU with temps rising into the 70C range? Why would downloads spike GPU?

When I first started SU5, I got an error in a white box with red text saying that MSFS could not access the servers. I restarted MSFS and got the same thing. I hit Alt-Tab and got a Windows firewall dialog asking if it was okay for MSFS to access the internet. I clicked allow access, and everything was fine.

I shut my system down and went to dinner with my girl. When I came home, I restarted my computer, fired up MSFS and got the Windows firewall dialog again. Not sure why it is not saving between boot ups.

Try hitting alt-tab and see if you might have the firewall dialog hiding behind the sim...
