Not all GPU spool up - just some. And the load stays regardless of whether the package is downloading or decompressing.

Any high altitude flying done yet?  Apparently the scenery from FL300 and above looks absolutely dreadful.

Looks the same as the previous update to me

Anyone tried MD-10 ? How it is ?

It's not flyable, it's a static tour display.

The standard is the content that gets updated in Your profile, planes, airports and such. I had a screen where you were supposed to pick the extra files you wanted (or not), but for me it was not active, couldn't pick. So it downloaded everything but what I could pick and choose in my content manager, sounds like you might be getting everything in one bite. ( or I could be wrong ).

That is what happened to me, it downloaded the whole enchilada, 40 GBs.

So I've abandoned the downland for tonight after 7 hours and about 50% downloaded.  I'll pick it up again tomorrow when hopefully download speeds might have improved.

Well the 40GB downloaded, then I went into Content Manager, and there is another 20 GB of updates.. Cheeze, 60 GB total.

Just a bit of sunshine for all the gloom others are experiencing.  My update took nearly 4 hours to complete.  Started it all by bringing up the MS store app and running their app update for MSFS.  Then ran MSFS with no issues, once the updated completed installed all the feature updates.  All this took me less that 4 hours, using Comcast cable ISP @ 100mb in the south San Francisco bay area, aka Silicon Valley.

My standard mini-torture test flight of a Bonanza flight from KBUR to KSNA, mid day hitting an alt of 5k' going right over downtown LA with KLAX in sight, was absolutely stutter free from takeoff to landing. It has NEVER BEEN THIS WAY before!  Before it was always stutters at takeoff and landing, and stone cold 1 second freeze ups around downtown LA and at a few other points along the way.  Check my hardware setup in my sig.  Also noticed that their CPU thread refactoring clearly shows, yay no more core 15 pegging 100%, and my ancient 1070 GTX never pegged 100% either (another first for this flight).  IMO Asobo delivered, but this one test isn't everything (but for me it nearly is).  As always, unfortunately YMMV.

I have very fast internet and after three hours I’m at 36%. This is insane. Can anyone confirm as to whether this speeds up at some point in the process?

I'll fetch the update tomorrow, but that comment concerns me just a tiny bit, especially the "a lot" part ; ).

I was on 33% after 3 hours.  4 hours later I called it a day at just less than 50% so no, probably won't speed up but I hope you have better luck than I had.

Ever so often you need to exit the sim and restart it.  MS needs to completely re-write their installation manager/content delivery system.

I'm about to do the same. I'm currently downloading at 1.5MB so it's pretty much useless. I have a 50 MB connection and I did a test on Steam and it downloads at 35MB, so it's definitely an issue on Microsoft side. I guess the azure infrastructure is not enough for this video game!

Does somebody know how to turn off the annoying POIs all over?
