A weather system that added genuine haze in scenarios where it would exist in real life would be wonderful.

Telling people to put up with a graphics bug that makes everything hazy, because occasionally in real life it gets hazy is counterproductive.   It is like telling people to put up with a game that is far to dark even in daylight and clear skies to wear it because occasionally in real life it is night time.

Well, I just arrived here following an inflight CTD, so I can confirm CTD's are a-happening. Happy for those that are not experiencing.

These screenshots look just as bland and washed out as XP11.

In fact if MSFS keeps on this track of degrading its quality, I think I might take a serious look at XP12. I don't want to invest in a sim that veers drastically from one month to the next. After an update, the next flight feels  like being at Las Vegas, wondering what the next pull on the slot machine will yield.

The new update over this past week has been terrible. It broke just about everything. I have been using various planes to see if there are any of them that weren't affect. Well, unfortunately they all were it seems. The Daher TBM 930 is completely messed up. When you push the view on the yoke/controller view button forward to reset the view it doesn't reset it anymore, the interior panel lights can't be turned on anymore, the audio of the pilot speaking with the ATC or the tower doesn't play anymore (you only hear the ATC and the tower), the throttle is messed up, the pointer (mouse pointer) is a pain in the neck to use now, the speed of the aircraft has been affected again as well (this happened with one of the last updates as well - getting slower), controlling the aircraft on the ground is not realistic anymore, etc.

This has to be the worst update I have ever seen.

For me the the blurry cartoon textures on that ridiculous rhino loading screen says all you need to know about SU5 really.

Now you are complaining about the loading screen? You guys need a word not allowed life

« Just about everything »,  « completely messed up »  are a bit hyperbolic, no ? What you describe is a controller map which has been messed up. Unpleasant indeed but maybe you can rollup your sleeves and correct it ? I do not know whether you are new to flight simulation but this type of game has always required tweaking from users. Always been like that and (for my sins, I believe) always will be.

The temp bug slowing the climb predates SU5.

And you do not need a pink background to make your points. Unpleasant to read.

After having a good night sleep I am curious to know whether or not there is a working temporary solution for the blurries, colors and CTD’s ….

Is the cfg trick with read only still good or does it not work correctly?

Any temperature tweak out ?

I love they way some people think this pole is a WIN for the better.....

Screenshot-1426.png

The people who think this poll is a wim

Same as before, well thats  not a win is it, its just not a lose also but lets give that to "Win" / Better frame rate and graphic fine after some tweaking ( like we should have to tweak to get back what we had before but let put that to the side) TOTAL for PLUS sides 48.39%

The people that are not to happy

Better frame rate but worse graphics/ CTD/leaving for FSX P3D and worse LOD add them up and 51.61%

So Could we please stop with the poll shows its a "win" for SU5

It would be far better if we all pulled togeather to try and solve help each other....but....

IMO there are no "winners" here. The only thing we agree on its better FPS but at a cost...

A SU3 screenshot, several months ago....No LoD editing, High/Ultra, 1920x1080. Sometimes is good to remember where we come from.

...and a SU2 one, that´s me enjoying the Discovery Tour... THAT was a haze I loved. Autogen buildings had distinctive features an colorization.

This looks like you were running with some Nvidia sharpen filters and digital vibrance turned on. Looks good but not super realistic.

I saw a video in a thread on the Orbx forum that suggested changing the 2 'colorshading' lines in the cfg from 1 to 0 to improve the colour.

Also, in the same thread they suggested that the 'Texture Resolution' in the cfg file is back to front so low = ultra and vice versa. That may explain why people on lower end systems might be more impressed with the update if they were previously on medium settings and it's now changed to high for example.

I've not given any of these suggestions a test yet.  Just putting it out there.
