Cant duplicate it. I did about 4-5h on 1.0.5 till now and no any issue with autopilot and native G1000, works fine for me.

I just arrived into Catalina (freeware scenery) from Big Bear (also freeware) on a flight across Los Angeles.

The island was somewhat surrounded in clouds, so the artificial view through the G1000 helped a lot.

I dove down through the clouds from 10500 feet using the beta mode on the Porter, and actually nailed the landing, using only half the runway with reverse thrust engaged upon touchdown. Very satisfying!

Oh, and I dropped a pelican case over Disneyland. Don't ask. 😬

Ditto. Even I, who has an historic dislike of APs, can work it. I think the thing to bear in mind is the bit I've highlighted.

I don't think so, but from my own testing the fuel pumps from the aux tanks pump about half as fast as the engine burns at cruise. Meaning if you start with 50% fuel in main and aux tanks, you need to start the fuel pumps relatively soon to be able to use it all. 

That's just from observing the Fuel / Load thing on the top bar menu. I could be wrong though.

OK I've got the AP working. If I install the Porter GTN750 mod addition does this mean I can also reinstall the NXi and it will still work?

It works ok for me except that the magenta course indicator in the HSI in the Nxi doesn't seem to work. It just stays pointing north the whole time for me anyway - it's possible I'm doing something wrong though as have only flown a few times so far. Apart from that everything else seems to be ok.
