I’m going to get flamed for this but… really?   Bad mouthing?  How so?  By saying that it’s on them?  It is.  They have said so.  Everyone but you and the persons who (see below) don’t do their own due diligence know this or, at the least, are aware of this.

Arrogance?   In this thread alone, it’s been said more than 5 times that the NXI is not yet compatible and that WT is working on it and that we’re in touch with WT on this.  We’ve said all this many MANY times.  In this thread alone.

It’s in the manual.  It’s on the product page.  It’s in the comments on 15+ threads all over the net. It’s on the YT reviews.

How, exactly, are we supposed to be super nice when people don’t even read the product page, read the manual, read the comments, check the videos, read the answers?

Please, there’s customer service and there’s dealing with people who are not paying attention or just aren’t doing their own due diligence.  Maybe that’s you?   Want a job like this?  Didn’t think so…

It’s become obvious, in this day and age, that the customer is NOT always right.  The customer, in fact, owes just as much respect to the vendor as the other way around.

I’m trying really hard here but, how many times do we have to say… Don't use the NXI, or this isn’t on us and that WT IS working on it???

50?  100?  10000?  And we’re supposed to keep our cool?  We’re DEVS… not martyrs, dying on our products not working because someone didn’t effing read the manual, product page, comments…

enough with this stuff.  RTFM.

If you’re going to buy something READ THE EFFING MANUAL. THERES A REASON WE WROTE IT.

sheesh.  Really.

We make aircraft simulations.  Good ones.  Some are maybe even great.  Some are good enough for the US of A to use as training products.  And they don’t ever EVER speak to us as some of you do.  Never.

And after this rant it's the last plane I will ever buy from Milviz no matter how great you consider them to be.

We might wonder whether the NXi has not become, for the WT fan club, the central product around which the sim itself and all addons orbit. Saying it is a WiP is bad mouthing it ? Holy cow, this is ridiculous. A good product but a WIP it is and besides in no way necessary in flying the Porter except maybe if you want to drive her as an airliner 🤣.

I appreciate that Colin comes to this forum to do some after sale even if don’t always agree with what he says.

As far as I can experience and read others, the Porter is with the DC-6 the best product for MFS so far and the support without any reproach as shown by 1.05.

A 5 minute search tells you the autopilot together with the NXI are not finished and WT and Asobo are working on it.

If you dont get that I dont understand what you learned with those  1200+ posts.

Thankyou Milviz,

I Love the Porter, and you have my 100% support.

I read the short falls and accepted it, bring on the floats!!!!

I have sat back for years collecting and using the information I gain from these forums, they once were very positive.

MSFS 2020 is a work in progress, and I accept that.

In saying that, it is also the most addictive I have become to my Fly simulation, I love it.

Keep up the great work, the great support and Ill back you all the way.

You've gotta just love what we have, it has never been better, the Community Free contribution is also second to none.

For some of us, we don't have as many years left flying as we did when we started out, so lets enjoy what we`ve got.

Regards Brian

Mate, this is not a rant, its a plea for customers to not be *word not allowed* s.  I'm actually relieved that devs are confident enough to be able to state a robust opinion rather than pussyfooting around all the time.  If a customer raises a bug report, fair play, get it sorted, dont ask questions.  For this kind of thing, grow up and stop being a snowflake, please!

And the DC-6 doesn't come equipped with the NXi either 😉

Sorry but it's a bad tempered rant. And with regard to how I choose to spend my money in future - judgement is mine.

Ofc it is, your opinion 🙂 just saying there's more to worry about like empty supermarkets and petrol stations, not a Dev getting frustrated because people don't RTFM ✌️ peace brother...

Hey @YoYo Re repaints

I understand that you have to go through Bender and that  there is usually no paintkit coming with MFS aircraft. Is that also true for the Porter, no old fashioned layered painkit ? Asking for a friend 😁

Guys there is too much drama lately. You need to get grip of real life what is more important. MSFS is just a game! Be nice to each other!

Here is broken left rudder cylinder on my airplane! Should I blame it to the last guy who flown it or consider it tear and wear? LOL Fortunately it has been caught on run up! So far damage is $1200, and it just for new  parts!

That is what is referred to as 'P*ssing into the wind' 😄

In French, we say 'pisser dans un violon', the idea is the same, the expression is more obscure but less problematic for one's pants.

Generally one has to decide if it's worth trying to defend what you have been trying to "put forth". Sometimes the evidence is so against you, it's better to fade to the back of the conversation and hope your misplaced argument also "fades". Life doesn't have to be miserable. I guess it is a personal choice.
