BTW I always do my installs this way.

1) Rename install folder to c:\FS2020_Back
2) Uninstall MSFS.
3) Go to MS Store and install from owned list.
4) After  install run and after the ingame updates check select c:/FS2020 for the install.

Note: empty c:/FS2020/cache and c:/FS2020/community before step 4.

Regards

bs

I do none of this, and have zero problems with updates. I don't reinstall windows or format my SSD either.

Protection against having to do a full reinstall and a bit paranoid I guess.

I would skip Win 11 for a few months.

I'm seeing a slight performance lose with this update.  More stuttering over the south ATL area.

I have windows 11 set for 3 years from now unless they fixed up that crappy UI that some genius at MS came up with.

Did they add a new radio voice filter to the ATC? It sounds different.

The UI is always the thing with a new Windows.

And obviously not aware that even downloading stuff over and over again increases the carbon footprint...

Only thing I notice as a negative, is zero live traffic so far.

100%. Any business utilizing IT technology heavily will tell you precisely that, especially as MSFT are notorious for buggy releases, which we all obviously know 😄

I still remember the Fiasco that was windows 10 when it came out. What a train wreck that was. I avoided it like the plague.

Known issue, servers are down. I just cannot believe their rollout are so poorly managed. Whoever was responsible for testing this and making sure it doesn't go down, would be out the door for being incompetent if I was running this team.

Lots more stutters at low alt for me!

I have only briefly seen the Windows 8 and Windows 10 UI. Because I have always used the $5 payware called Stardok Start8 and Start10 which turns the entire UI back to Windows 7 with only a desktop and a Start button. No 'charms' no nonsense.
