I wish I knew what I did wrong when doing this.  MS store only says that I own it and that it is "ready to install".  No mention of updates and does not show "installed".  So I started the sim and it is downloading a "mandatory update" of 132Gb.  Looks like a full install to me...  I hope the various world updates are included!

Double check where it is being installed.  It may be installing to a new location.  Look back to the middle of page 5 in this topic for a possibly related post.

"New AIRAC cycle 2110 is now available"

Available? Is there some routine to installing it?

It's installed with the update, you don't need to do anything extra.

Taildrag takeoffs: Yes there were fixes to taildrag rudder for specific default planes listed in the long list of fixes. But there were also mentioned in the long list 2 fixes to taildrag rudder for all planes, not just the default model fixes.

I just tried the Big Radials P40. Transition to torque effects is now more gradual and not a as big of a sudden lurch. Also it takes only a setting of 3 on the right rudder trim instead of 6 to control it on the ground.

It sure looks to me like taildrag rudder issues are now better than before.

Very nice!

There are fixes to water rudder listed in the long list of fixes. I haven't tested any of that.

That's right Steam is for people who can't follow the simple instructions to insure you're signed into the Xbox App and MS Store.  Zero issues ever with any install, reinstall, update, etc using the MS Store.

And those instructions might be?

Well, just tell me why one needs to go through the store to get an update anyway?
I launched MSFS, it told me there was an update in Store to be downloaded and installed first.
Fine, but in the store all i could do is launch, no update no download, nothing.
So i launched it again from within the Store just to tell me again that there was an update to install first from within the Store.
Back to the Store, same word not allowed. Loopedieloop...
So again, why do i need to go through the Store to get the update when that could be done easily from within MSFS itself (all my other sims can, without the help of Steam (that i don't have btw).
It's just an unneccesarry step to go through imho. Totally useless.
My rating on the whole MS Store thing: 0/5.
They have a lot to learn...

Do you get any stuttering when panning or switching camera views?

None at all, but my FPS is capped at 30 (if uncapped it goes to 40-50 as before the update). Again, this was not in a demanding situation/aircraft/airport so your mileage may vary.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

If you're using TBM Mod, G3000 and either Navigraph or Shift-Z stat mods, that's the issue. Removing the Shift-Z or Navigraph will solve it. At least it did for me and many others.

No TBM930 mod, neither Shift-Z nor Navigraph add-on is active, only G3000 mod. Must be something else that causes the CTD. Loading TBM930 flights from a runway with all engines on  works fine. I will investigate further and perhaps open another thread for this problem.

The update you get from the Windows store changes the core executable for MSFS.  Then when the MSFS executable is run, MSFS checks for further updates.

The MSFS executable can’t update itself (technically, it could, but Microsoft would never do that since it adds further complexity and it defeats the purpose of having a Windows store).

The problem isn’t really MSFS. The problem is Windows store is garbage,  This is why Steam purchasers of MSFS have a very smooth experience with updates now while Windows store purchasers of MSFS are still struggling.

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Looks like a great update!   But they broke the ice light in the TBM (it's that season again, I need that light), the parking brake triggers a master caution alert in the TBM that can't be turned off (ding ding ding until your rolling) and the Azure voices sound overly harsh now, as if they swapped the IF filter in the radio for a really cheap one. 🙂
