November 2, 20214 yr After almost 30 years of flight simming, I realized this morning that there is so many places in the world I have never flown. I decided to plan a flight from GUCY to GGOV in Africa. I have never flown in Africa, and wondered what it would look like. It looks great, and I bet I will spend a great deal of time flying from one airport to another. This is something I would have never done in any sim I have owned before.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. November 2, 20214 yr same here. I've been flying in countries I never did in P3D/FSX just because of the scenery.
November 2, 20214 yr Yeah… I’m currently doing a tour in Greece through Skypark which is a place I’ve never flown, and agree the world looks fantastic, especially in the areas that were updated. The Nordic region is another area I’ve not flown much in and was just a pleasure. So yes, it’s a big world out there and has never looked so good in a flight sim. Lucky for us! Amazon tour after this one.

November 2, 20214 yr Right now I'm flying the continent of South America and learning a lot about the topography and nations. I never realized how large Brazil was... Randall Rocke
November 2, 20214 yr Commercial Member I agree. In P3D I mostly would only fly to enhanced, 3rd airports or areas that has scenery upgrades. That left out probably 80% of the world to explore. No longer and issue. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.
November 2, 20214 yr Most of my flying is in the UK, but Austria and Switzerland are well worth a look. I've also downloaded loads of addon airports and cities for France and Spain. So much to explore and so little time. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
November 2, 20214 yr The world is big... 😉 With MSFS finally the time when we were limited to specific regions that were covered by an addon is over. It is enjoyable all over the world by default. And for so many places a freeware mod that makes it even more enjoyable can be found on flightsim.to. And indeed worldtour.flights is a great site, which I have bookmarked right next to flightsim.to. It gives a lot inspiration where to fly. I prefer these simple flightplans and their flexibility over the "bush trip" missions with all their limitations (let alone the bugs...). Then add bushtalk radio to the mix and you are up to a whole new simming experience. Edited November 2, 20214 yr by RALF9636

November 2, 20214 yr I only fly airliners, but I agree, that satellite image coverage world wide is a unique feature that fundamentally changes the feeling of flight simulations. It has become my favourite feature of MSFS (together with the incredible lighting and weather). As much as I loved P3D, MSFS feels like: I was blind and now I can see. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
