AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS - quick first steps (video)

This is my first post, but I would like to THANK from the bottom of my heart to all the people involved in this project !!!! I've followed all the steps in the video which btw were very helpful !!! Thank you for the detailed explanations !!!

Guys you are ROCKSTARS !!! Thank you again!

I've just tested with AirFrance and load in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and everything was working fine. Planes were spawned at the gates and also I had moving planes. However I have a QQ guys, since I've switch OFF the traffic from MSFS (LIVE or OFFLINE) the skies will be empty, or the flights in the air will be also generated by AIG? (injected by AIG)

Also another question, I will be able to see planes DEPARTING from airports, or only ARRIVALS like in the SIM. Because with Real Traffic ON, I was able to see only planes landing!

Thank you guys you are wonderful!!

My testing yesterday morning, after loading up a few airlines at my home airport (Roman Designs' CYOW), showed flights in the air, and both landings and take offs.

Spent the rest of yesterday installing ALL the airlines/flightplans. Should make things interesting today. 😉

I think I'm getting somewhere. Flight plans are now downloading. But 'one click installer'? Have I done something wrong? I've been clicking away for hours? Seems to be downloading planes rather than flight plans?

You have not done anything wrong. I do believe the "one click installer" thing refers to only having to do one click to install an airline/flight plan pack. Back in the old days, one would have to download a flight plan, find and download suitable models/paints for the airline for that flight plan, and finally fiddle with a bunch of configuration files to get it all to work. Now, once the AIG manager is all set up, one click will install a complete flight plan with associated models and/or repaints as needed, and configure it for use in the sim.

From what I have seen when you install an airline the first message I see is thanks for downloading the flightplan, so I think they go hand in hand.

You can hold CTRL key on your keyboard and select multiple packages with the mouse, then click OCI-Bulk (green button in the lower left of the interface) and let it rip. You can also select CTRL + A on your keyboard, this will select all of the packages, click OCI-Bulk and rock n' roll.

No, those can stay the same

I moved the AIG beta folder using addons linker, but I wonder if that works for some things. For example in an AI airplane in the simobjects folder the soundai/soundai.cfg file says "[FLTSIM]
alias = d:\msfs2020\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta\Sound\AI\Embraer_EMB-175". I have no sound from AI, but not sure if I did before either.

That's a great question and I'd also like to know. Perhaps @Kaiii3 can answer this for us.

Well, it might not matter right now because it looks like that referenced folder is empty anyway.

I came, I saw, I capitulated. I am sure it's brilliant and no disrespect to the devs who have devoted so much time to this but I am done. It's just beyond me. I managed to install all the minor airlines but I can't instal the likes of EasyJet and BA. One Click install? Not so much. It's too complicated to be usable.

That is fine. I gave you a suggestion as to what works, so you don't have to click 1,200 times to get all packages installed. Have a good day! 🙂

Works fine here, anyone with a small idea of how computers work should be able to get their head around it. (Majority of old skool simmers, considering all the tweaking and modding they do!)

It’s time consuming but you can just leave it running with the one click. Took 7 hours here in total for all the flight plans to be installed.

Is it necessary to install the GA flight plans too? I only installed the AIRLINE ones.

As far as downloading the packages, The first time I checked the "skip manual downloads" it didn't stick and I had to click and download a few individual packages.

After I noticed the "skip manual downloads"  {at the bottom, just left of the "OCI Bulk" box} I rechecked it , used Ctl to pick what I wanted and hit "Bulk OCI", it went to work. Came back an hour later and it had downloaded all 45 packages that I had checked off. And one of them was EasyJet.
