As much as I love CS.....for the love that is good in the Simming world...if you're gonna' buy any CS products anyway....do it NOW!  $9.99 is actually all I'd value their MSFS products at, and for the 767 and L1011 for P3D...(2 of their decent products) are actually a good deal if you're will to accept zero support from them.

For all of you with weak cardiac systems who read the text above from me and are experiencing light-headedness and nausea...not believing I'd never do anything but trash CS, I apologize for exasperating your condition! 🙂 

Out of the box you'll have to do a lot of tweaking to get the MSFS birds working in any decent fashion....be sure to look for "Salty" mods on flightsim.to.  He's single-handedly made these "airplanes" flyable in MSFS...and should be getting royalties from CS in my opinion.

As for the P3d models, you'll have to trudge thru their forums for answers...don't bother asking questions there you expect CS to answer.  You'll get answers like this if they ever bother to reply (they won't)

I'm particularly fond on how they replied to @rmeier when he noted they handled the 767 freighter debacle badly 

Believe me, the available GE version and the upcoming 767-300CF, even with some limitations, is the best possible outcome for P3D users. Plan B was to drop the P3D completely right after the recent 737 Classic release.
Anyway, the fully functional 767F for P3D is out of question, unfortunately.

no...wait....my favorite reply in that thread is when a customer showed them a page right out of their manual where is says the 767F is "CONFIRMED", then CS goes on to play the word game that "CONFIRMED" does not mean "PROMISED", and they only confirmed that they "MAY" include a "CONFIRMED" product.

THAT is they type of support response that has made CS legendary...but few ever see these posts before they plop down $29.99 for a shell...that is why I'd completely ignore CS if only potential new customers knew what they were getting into.  If you read posts from many 1-post, joined-in-the-last-month posters, you'd see many are baffled that what they bought was not what they were expecting.  We'll leave that discussion alone as it would only start a debate. 🙂 

Anyway....go get any CS bird you've wish you could, but couldn't stomach paying $29.99 for a shell, while this sale is on...the ONLY decent thing CS ever does IMO.  Funny that this year...they don't have a new shiny bird to exclude from this sale...they are ALL on sale (1st time I think I've ever seen this...probably because they are swimming in cash from MSFS sales and the MSFS birds certainly don't count as new planes) 🤪

I couldn't have said it better, Steve. The only products that I've never regretted to have bought fom them, were all for FSX: 707, 727, 737 classic and the Herc 🙂

 

I knew it was just a matter of time before CS had a $9.99 sale. My patients has paid off. Beside CS products are only worth $9.99 these days.

Yeah their old FSX models were good, the 727 was my favorite.  It was sad back then that CS's arrogance was emerging even in the early 2000's when their attitude completely turned me off to them.  The one that did it for me was when an actual 727 FE was telling them, politely at 1st, that there were a few issues with some of the systems.  CS quickly coped an attitude and wound up banning they guy, who was only trying to help make their 727 better.  This was actually with FS2004, before FSX...when, after FSX was released, CS promptly and without warning, dropped all dev for FS2004 and started banning all the simmers who were...."outspoken" about the issue.😏 
Like I said....CS support is certainly "legendary" if you've been around long enough to remember.  All the posts new simmers will never see as they've been long-deleted since they questioned CS undisputed opinions, LOL.  Most have probably already forgotten how they tried to "own" painter's liveries when the 777 for MSFS was 1st released.  Ahhh...."Those who forget historical events, are bound to repeat them".  Never have truer words been spoken regarding CS 😞

The thread @Steve Dra linked to at CS is hilarious (perhaps not so funny if you're a customer though)! it proves my maxim: always make a purchase decision based on the current state of the product, NEVER on the basis of any promises or plans, because they might never happen and there's zero recourse; the Airsimmer A320 and Digital Aviation F100 virtual cockpit are two similar examples.

Be patient, wait for some reviews from knowledgable/reputable persons (or perhaps do a bit of research into the developer's reputation if you're not familiar with them).
