Looks like an old bug still there. There is no visual icing representation except on windshield . You can feel effect of icing but you can't see it on leading edge. That it only affect Kodiak. My Twotter got iced up just fine

One thing I noticed since the update, when you chop the power while flaring, down you go, no float at all. So be ready for it.....😉

Depends on the phase of the flight! If you are on final, slowing the Kodiak without use of flaps is a real challenge unless experiencing a strong headwind.  In fact even from cruise altitude I have learned to slow the Kodiak to VFE and deploy 10° of flaps before beginning the descent just in order to best manage speed.  On short final, if on AP, I deploy to full flaps as I disengage AP and adjust power as needed, paying more attention to GS than to IAS.

I just land at 85 knots.  Wrong but effective.

Just did the same to me. Wasn't quite ready for the immediate touchdown and luckily I wasn't too far off the ground. Still rated OK with AH2 and 1181 lbs. of cargo. 😉

For the ones that buy the Kodiak on the Dev site did you all receive an e-mail to notify you of the update ?

I have not received anything. Checked my spam folder, nothing. It's a bit weird to not warn your customer that you have an update ready. Not everyone is cheking Avsim or other sim site dailly (Yea I know what on earth am I doing for not having my dailly dose of siming 😂 )

Just go to their website, sign onto your account, and download the Kodiak. You will get the latest updated version. By the way, the found out about the nose dropping when the AP is disconnected with full flaps, and there will be another update to fix that issue.

Odd. I reveiced zero none nada mails... Absolutely nothing. While I purchsed the Kodiak directly from SWS. But well, no problem, I know where to download the new version anyway. ;)

Thanks for the reply all. That's a bit weird that some of us receive an e-mail and other don't. Not an issue for this particular update as I'm now aware of it but if there are any other update in the future I expect to receive a notification from the vendor like...well any other vendor I deals with.

Not sure if they've said why in their discord or any of their communication channels, but I hope its not the same issue preventing them from releasing the amphib version...i.e. something that Asobo has to fix 1st. 😞

That would be disappointing to say the least.

From their Discord, they apparently forgot to check the AP disconnect with full flaps, which is where the down trim, nose drop,  shows up every time. Pretty typical  place for many pilots on short final  to disconnect AP after slowing to full flap Vref speed.

Are the fps problems with the EIS fixed?
