February 26, 20224 yr I’ve been really enjoying the Kodiak and flying almost non stop since it was released. Fantastic! Got back into FSEconomy last week and the Kodiak is a great money maker too! The Turbo Arrow got two updates this week and wanted to check it out. After two flights I was thrilled! Love this plane as well, the III much more so then the IV. Just flies better. For ultra simple slow sightseeing, the Carenado C170 does a great job, great views, and fun to fly old school.

February 26, 20224 yr After reading this thread and spending much time in the Kodiak and DC6 I decided to update and load the JF Arrow. It now has the Gt 750 I haven't flown this Garmin in years and on takeoff and trying to head to my first waypoint, I made some pretty crazy circles when trying to get the AP to track the route, until I realized that I had started in NAV mode instead of GPS mode.. You don't fly these different aircraft often enough, rust develops rather quickly. 😉
February 26, 20224 yr I really enjoy the stock Baron. It needs some performance tweaks (it's terrible above 13k) but when combined with the WT G1000, it's a blast to take around the country in all kinds of weather. https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
February 26, 20224 yr Now I remember why I stopped flying the JF Arrow. Trying to trim it out, one click up. 1400 fpm climb , two clicks down trim, 700 fpm dive. Back in the hangar for good. Edited February 26, 20224 yr by Bobsk8
February 26, 20224 yr I agree with your statement of pleasure from this sim. This is my experience. I just completed a tour of all the lower 48 states in the Beechcraft Bonanza. I took off and landed at 98 different airports. Most were RNav landings with a few ILS. I learned a lot about this sim and a lot about the geography of my country. Flew at low altitudes so I could enjoy the scenery, except when I got to the Rockies, Most were flights around an hour. Printed charts for all the airports and RNav approaches as I went to set up my landings. The toughest flight was from Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. Almost hit the mountain taking off. What a great enjoyment this tour was. Now I'm visiting all the grass and dirt airstrips in North Carolina. Some are hard to find and some are short and some on top of mountains. Using the Savage Cub and the new Monster Cub more recently. Every day brings a new trip. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
February 26, 20224 yr My sentiments exactly! That’s why I’m not concerned with what happens with tubeliners and the like, low and slow is the way to go with this sim…

It's such a new release, that I have not had time to fly it with this adjustment to the trim. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Sounds more like Marble Canyon from your description. 1 hour ago, Roy Warren said: What a great enjoyment this tour was. Now I'm visiting all the grass and dirt airstrips in North Carolina. I think that's the highest airport east of the Rockies, or at least the highest paved airport. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
February 26, 20224 yr JF Warrior number one. All the JF Arrows are good. The freeware turbo diesel 172 is great too. The 172 Classic is great if you don't want addons.
February 26, 20224 yr The Caproni C-22J is easily my favourite GA plane so far, fast enough to cover large distances and cross countries in a reasonable amount of time, but doesn't fly too fast or high that I miss out on surface details. No GPS, just VOR/ADF and visual navigation. The only thing that would improve it for me would be a single seater version so I can look out the right side as easily as the left. I've gone from Miami to Seattle already, over several sessions, next I'll be crossing the US from SW to NE.
February 27, 20224 yr The JF Arrow III this afternoon, taking off from the latest freeware Duxford, a tour of Battle of Britain airfields in the south east. The trim problem with the Arrow has been adddressed by the use of the electric trim button On=fine trim, Off=coarser trim -update 10.3 I believe, the latest one anyway. Latest Duxford update, and it is astounding:https://news.flightsim.to/egsu-duxford-airfield-released-a-masterpiece-of-freeware/ Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

Now I set a climb and the VS varies between 100 fpm and 1500 fpm back and forth without touching anything. I'm done wasting time , the default aircraft are much better that this terrible flying aircraft. Edited February 27, 20224 yr by Bobsk8
