April 1, 20224 yr For me, there's a list of planes I want to fly, and a list of planes I have time to fly. The latter is much shorter. I've cut down on my spending a lot because of the time. I've all but given up on airliners at this point too. Even if I can find time to learn them, I can't "stay current" on them. I own the JF Arrows and even the Warrior (bit of an impulse buy) and I fly those regularly. Otherwise it is freeware mostly for me. I have actually been looking at the Kodiak lately and probably will buy it once I get a solid weekend to really try it out. In the past, I've definitely gone "addon bonkers". I don't even want to know how much I've invested between every version of FS going back to like 98 and a few Xplane versions in there as well. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
April 1, 20224 yr I remember this freeware aircraft when it first came out many years ago and is still flown in my world to this day. One of the reasons to keep P3D around. https://www.flickr.com/photos/77366292@N03/albums/72157715730152408

April 2, 20224 yr Top 5 currently: FSW 414AW (In fact the last 30 hours of sim time have been in this, and will be until the Maddog and NGuXABCDEFG whatever they call it are out) Hype H145 SWS Kodiak JF Turbo Arrow 3 PMDG DC6 I hop in other stuff from time to time but these 5 still get all my MSFS time. April 2, 20224 yr Heh, I have to buy a lot of planes... its worse for me. The ones I still fly all the time: Asobo Husky (Love that plane so word not allowed much) SWS Kodiak The Goose has become a keeper The Freeware 172 bush versions (inc Amphib) Carenado Seminole JF Arrow Carenado 170.
April 2, 20224 yr I switch in and out of these quite regularly. Just depends on how long a flight I want to do and how much I want to get involved. So, the order is kind of pointless, but here goes: 1. Kodiak 2. FBWA320 3. WT CJ4 4. PMDG DC-6 5. Bonanza G36 Mod Very much looking forward to the BAe-146, Fenix A320, Maddog and of course the PMDG 737, although -- the guys at FBW continue to wow me with their hard work and innovation.

Was hoping someone would see the irony in this pic about the last MD taxiing past the gaggle of Boeings (and an Airbus or 2). As a passenger, this was a very comfortable and quiet plane, esp the MD90 if you were sitting in business class! When I made weekly trips out of KATL, I hoped we'd take the runway that let us taxi past the Delta maintenance center....always cool to see all the aircraft there. And finally in MSFS, the elevation in that area is correct! The maintenance area sits in a little gully and you see the tails at eye level when you taxi past....its only taken 20 years of simming to finally see this modeled correctly. 🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
April 2, 20224 yr I don't fly vintage or classic or outdated aircraft. .I only fly contemporary planes, the ones I see at the airport.. with that policy, I have steered away from buying so many great addons (DC6, MD11, A300, Concorde, BAE146, and so many others). Even with that stringent rule, I still get to fly a wide variety of planes (narrowbody, widebody, props, GA, regional, etc). Its not that I dont like the vintage planes, (i actually love some of the classics like 727, etc), but it ruins the immersion flying these planes in 2022 into a modern day airport.. Even the ones like 747-400 and A340 series are borderline obsolete.. but at least many of those are still around in some form like cargo etc.. That's why I buy so little these days. I've learned from my FSX/P3D years. 🙂
April 2, 20224 yr I haven't bought anything else for the sim since I bought the Kodiak. Still completing a world tour in the JustFlight Arrow. Can't see myself buying much else for a while yet, unless something blows up like the Kodiak did. Currently circumnavigating the world in a mix of Cessna and Piper aircraft. My Default Setup; MSFS, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster Hotas X, TrackIR, Samsung Galaxy Tab, JustFlight Piper Arrow. Simworks Quest Kodiak 100. Wishlist; Honeycomb Bravo, Honeycomb Charlie. 1:400 Airline Model Collector.
April 2, 20224 yr I tend to allow myself one new aircraft addon per month. What I fly partly depends on if I am flying my virtual economy. Planes I currently fly at least every other day: 1. JF Warrior II 2. Kodiak 100 3. Staggerwing Planes I currently fly maybe once a week 1. CRJ 2. AH c140 3. Piazzi P149 Planes I fly less often but do still fly regularly 1. JF Turbo Arrow II 2. Iris Grob Tutor 3. Stearman 4. Iris jabiru Planes I rarely take out but still fly occasionally 1. AH Spitfire 2. JF Arrow III 3. Bleriot XI 4. Fiat G91 5. Carenado Mooney 6. Husky Planes I almost never fly (nothing wrong with these I just rarely fly them) Carenado YMF5, P40, that 1930s French thing, Nieuport 17, ju 52, Milviz Pc6, Optica, any of the ultralights Edited April 2, 20224 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick

April 2, 20224 yr JF Arrow III IV often on group flights DC 6 maybe twice a month Waiting for Milviz 310, Beaver and hopefully a A2A product in the next few years that's about it on non tubeliner side. Just waiting for the Maddog, Fenix and PMDG airliners.
