I don't feel like the 737 is missing anything over the A320. Even the lack of EFB doesn't really bother me, you can still very easily plan everything in SimBrief and import it into the FMC, including all the PERF figures. Sure, its less complex, but its less complex in the real world! Both aircraft coexist happily in my sim, and I'm finding actually that I'm using them relatively equally. It's nice to break the process and have a change after a few flights. Best comment in this thread, sir. I don't know why this imagined PMDG vs Fenix - "only one can win!" mindset exists. Now that I am getting acceptable performance in the Fenix, I can say I love (and feel fortunate to have) them both. The 737 is certainly no lesser aircraft, in terms of immersion and enjoyment. Some people are making out it's so "light" (systems-wise) that it's like a Carenado, lol! And seriously, when did having a darn iPad (EFB) become the be all and end all in the sim? ATPL's flew for 60 years before EFBs became a thing. I personally prefer not having the EFB in the PMDG... genuinely! The settings I need are hidden in the FMC and I prefer that. After all, as good as it is, the OS on the Fenix EFB is fictional, let's remember. They are both stunning, immersive airliner and both worth the price of entry. One does not have to be deingrated in order to elevate the other. The aircraft is just as easy to load through the FMC, as is loading a simbrief flight plan, and when I want to use charts I use my second monitor or my ipad. Rather than having to zoom in on an ipad in the sim and lose the overall view of the gorgeous flight deck. Edited June 3, 20224 yr by abennett

The EFB is just another item to more closely simulate how real world pilots are carrying out their duties. I can't imagine there is an A320 pilot not using an EFB today. I use an iPad to my left hand side where a real tablet would be in the cockpit to mirror the EFB. Did a flight from Trondheim to Munich earlier, 47 fps at top of climb, by the time got to top of descent struggling to make 30. I have no idea where these almost 20 frames went other than the fact that manipulators and main thread usage were very high. By the time I landed in Munich was struggling for 25 frames. Load back into to Munich immediately after with the same time and weather (live) and I have 45 frames at exactly the same spot. Very odd, It’s in the MSFS tips and tricks section. I’ve got some advice on how to avoid performance degradation over time, e.g. disabling NDU. This is not a set in stone, will definitely work for all advice, but it might be worth looking into it. Unfortunately we can’t discuss the various tips as the thread was promptly locked 🙄🔒 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Have to agree on this. I really enjoy flying the PMDG for the Boeing experience. It’s a tad more demanding to manage as it doesn’t have all of the Airbus automations. The EFB is more of a quality of life item that can enhance the overall experience. That being said, I’m starting to use the MCDU more and more, like using the loadsheet and METARs that arrives via ACARS and so on. I know it doesn’t make a huge difference, it’s a simulator after all, but it might be seen as a bit more realistic. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

June 4, 20224 yr To me, the best part is that I like to pick an airport, go to Flightaware and find a 1-2.5 hour flight somewhere. 90% of those flights in the US are either 73X or A3XX flights. For the 1st time ever, I can pick any flight, and have a great airplane to fly that matches (close enough) to what that airline is flying. I'm really kinda happy with the sim world right now. It's still got room for improvement, but I remember as a young boy flying a monochrome ASCII graphics simulator where the Sears Tower was a rectangle with 2 lines sticking out of the top thinking, "One day, I hope we'll be able to see what's really out there while doing this". And now... we can... A dream fulfilled. If Asobo could get AI, ATC, and airline ground ops (proper gate assignments, and do something with the ground equipment so that we don't have to park on top of it), we'd be like pigs in the mud. Happy and dirty. 😀 i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

June 4, 20224 yr i am very pleased with performance on my rather old PC (I7-4770K@4,5 - GTX1080TI FTW3,32GB DDR3-2400) I can get VSYNC/25HZ pretty much as long as i dont pan fast on the ground like FT KLAS (then it can drop to 21-25 fps but settles very fast again. This is with 4K@70% mostly Ultra/High settings , low traffic (10% in menu) Its really an amazing experience and even more amazing for the buck. About liveries from second hand - am using a Spirit one . Can there be FPS penalty on those or is it only VRAM related ? Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe

I just go to the departure section, select the airport I just landed at, and the approx miles I want, and it has many choices for a destination. I just go from one airport to the next. never gets boring.
June 4, 20224 yr I flew the updated Fenix and PMDG 737 back to back, and could not tell a difference performance-wise, whereas before the PMDG was clearly better for me. Nice job Aamir and team!
