HJET Issues List

Left and right PFDs are black except for system pages.

Center display is working properly.

I only had the Honeycomb AFC bridge and C310 in community.  Tried removing them, but still have the problem.

Any suggestions?   Thank you.

(unable to make ticket in Discord)

When battery power is turned on and the Garmins initiate, I end up with a fully functional middle display/map and FMS(?) keypads.  Both left and right PFDs are dark except for the left 3rd of the displays.  Checklists and all systems appear, but no HSI/OBI etc.

It must be an isolated issue because most aren't having the problem.  But, there was one other person that I noticed with the exact same issue.  I just don't know what it is.  My system is a clean MSFS dedicated machine with a cleared community folder.

The only real frustration is that I cannot create a ticket, post or even react anywhere on the FlightFX Discord server.  It appears I only have read access?  Tried reacting/acknowledging the server rules and even posting to the introductions thread.  ...no access   All of my other FS Discord servers allow me access.  Not a fan of that platform for support.

Kind of stuck right now if that's the only way to post an example or create a ticket.

Best Regards,

Mark

mfd zoom in and out not functional, scratch pad for moving screen contents does work

You have to PRESS the knob and then TURN it to Zoom. It says so right on the Panel beside the knob. Works just fine doing that.

When I try to buy it, I get a message that my MSFS2020 version is not compatible with the plane. But when I check Content Manager, no programs, including MSFS2020, show they need an update. Anybody else have this problem??

Can't get the external Lights to work properly, they all seem to be permanently on despite being in the "NORM" setting. Seem to be able to select "NORM" or "ON", can't actually set "OFF"......

It looks really good, but I will wait to buy it until the worst bugs are fixed, especial "Setting custom VFR camera causes CTD" that's a dealbreaker for me.

This is actually a very easy fix, and I've encountered it in several other add-on aircraft and been surprised every time that the developers weren't aware of it. Basically you just need to change two entries in your cameras.cfg file, as explained here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vfr-pilot-save-view-causes-ctd-in-m20r-and-f-14/478634/4?u=gregp7617

And in my case that file was found in my official/packages / hjet folder.

I understand from the Twitch video of a couple of days ago that the lights are automatically controlled by the stage of flight.  There is a lot of automation in the Hondajet.  Here is a link to a good overview.  Check out the simplicity and automation section:

Also check out page 1-181 of the Hondajet Pilots Operating Handbook.  I have just posted a link in a new topic here.

I understand that, but they were all on from power up to FL430 when I went into light settings to try and change that they wouldn't turn off whatever I did.

That's not automation, that's broken.

Are you totally sure? The cause presently of frozen or blank PFDs is an out of date PMS GTN750, from what I heard. Can you doublecheck you have the right community folder and you either don't have that addon, or you do and it has been updated?

Hi Matt,

I completely emptied the community folder.  I'm certain, because my Honeycomb Bravo driver stopped working when I removed it.

I then exited to desktop, re-booted the PC and went back into MSFS.

If this helps, I DID have the latest release (downloaded about 3 days ago) of the PMS GTN when I installed the HJet and until I noticed the blank PFDs.

Any other ideas?  Should I remove/add the aircraft with an empty community folder?

Thank you,

Mark

I just completed another flight and had no issues with VNAV or AP. I had the GNS, GTN, and WT mods enabled. I even already got used to the sensitive pitch.

Here's another video by Into The Blue.

The video does a good job pointing out the issues with the rudder while on take off and the sensitive pitch while climbing. Maybe this is how the real airplane behaves, but I doubt it.

Same here, I have all those mods enabled on the community folder and have no problem.

Me too. Plane behaved very well for me. Rotating at 115 gave me a very smooth ascent from the runway. Was very nice. I have extreme sensitivity on the pitch axis at +22 (I think it’s+ lol) and that definitely takes some of the twitchiness away. Basic AP functions were all without issue. Tried CSC for the first time and worked as explained. Agree with DJJ that rudder on takeoff roll doesn’t feel exactly right or confidence inspiring.

My big issue is that looking forward through the windscreen, the terrain is too bright and washed out. With TrackIR, if I move my head up and forward where the windscreen fills the whole screen, the terrain looks much better. Same if in external looking forward, the terrain looks right. When I switch to cockpit, it’s good for a half a second, then the autoexposure kicks in and washes out the front view. Like the autoexposure between the dark panel and the outside terrain is wrong. I’ve seen a few videos on the discord and they look much better than what I see.

I'm seeing this too.   Despite all lights being in the Norm (auto) position, I've yet to see any come on automatically.   They all remain annunciated as OFF in the upper left PFD screen.
