Just finished my very first flight with the Fenix A320. I have to say... IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! IT'S AWESOME! Wow, man, what a great (short) flight this was! And heck, I had even forgot to install Navigraph into the Fenix! And what's more, my Logitech 3D Extreme Pro worked right away! Didn't need to set detents or calibrate it! Nose wheel steering worked, thrust reverser worked, it all worked! Performance as great, graphics are awesome, all options everywhere are awesome, Navigraph support, the MCDU, it's all great. Did I already say this plane is AWESOME?????!!!!! 😉 Very happy sim pilot here! 🙂 One minor thing: I couldn't set take off trim with my mouse...? No real problem but well. But that was it. EVERYTHING ELSE was AWESOME! And that for a first flight...! 🙂

C'mon Tup....don't hide your feelings....tell us how you really feel about the plane. 🙂

PS, I really like it too...now if I can just find time to fly her, LOL.

Regards,
Steve Dra

I can already hear the sound of around a dozen FSL cultists flocking towards you, carrying with them an important message that states how wrong your opinion is.

Its the fenix users that seem like the cultists to me.  Is nobody allowed to notice a flaw with this aircraft?  And why does everyone hate fs labs so much?  They took forever to release anything, but when they did the quality was amazing and they helped move our hobby forward in a positive way.   Cant we point out areas in both products that need improvement without starting a war?  Can't we acknowledge that just because someone is a real world pilot they might not notice every little thing that might not be accurate?  Perhaps some real world pilots just aren't that attentive to every detail, maybe it just doesnt matter that much to them.

So where can one purchase FS Labs for MSFS 2020?

Fenix has made many indirect comparisons to FSL. That is one of a few reasons why it's perfectly fine to compare the two products even if they're for different platforms.

What is it FSL does better than Fenix? Me and many others are curious. And I am sure Aamir and his team wants to know as well.

Im not an airbus pilot, but from what ive gathered on discord, the forums here, and from real world pilot streamers the main things are listed below.  These dont necessarily represent my opinion, just what I have gathered as a whole.

1.) The sounds are not as good as fs labs from the flight deck perspective , namely the silent engine start and loud out of sync drone at cruise (confirmed by v1, real world a320 pilot)

2.) Flare logic

3.) Pitch during climb out (confirmed by real world a320 pilot)

4.) excessive drag (confirmed from real world a320 pilot)

5.) overly aggressive autopilot and autothrottle (this one confirmed by V1 too)

6.) fuel burn (Aamir confirmed to be working on this for a future release)

7.) Display fonts ( Aamir confirmed this will be fixed in a future release)

I think the cockpit sounds are better in FSL, maybe it's a personal preference, I dont know, but having sat in the 320 cockpit jumpseating for more hours than I care (the joy of commuting), I feel like FSL reminds me more of being in the flightdeck. Dont get me wrong, Fenix is awesome, I strongly suggest anyone that is still on the fence to grab their 320 as it is an impresive product. I also like the ATSU implementation of FSL a bit better but again, it comes down to personal preferences in the end...

I’ve been following Fenix for awhile now and I own every FSL Airbus made (3 of em).  I think the Fenix is on par with the FSL offerings.  I follow the Fenix discord and I don’t ever recall a member of the Fenix team referring to a competitor, especially for what was a yet to be released product. Considering those recent FSL comparisons to Fenix on their forums because they have not yet released their product, the Fenix forums seem absent of any comparison to FSL by even the patrons of Fenix.

Kindly point out or better, link to a comment by Team Fenix comparing themselves to P3D and FSLabs. Don’t think you can provide one but if you can I’ll consider myself educated.

I think some just wanted to hijack this thread which was about the Fenix Update, and start an Fenix Versus FSL argument, which is silly because you can't even get an FSL aircraft on the Sim we are flying.

Exactly.  I'm not sure why we are comparing the Fenix to an aircraft not even available for MSFS.  I seem to have ruffled the FSL crowd's feathers with my comment praising the Fenix team for the quick updates and successful and enjoyable airplane...

When FSL release their A320 for MSFS I guess we can all then have the comparison discussion.  P3D is long gone from my PC so I could care less at this point how it holds up next to a product on an outdated platform...

How about that updated PMDG 737 vs the updated Fenix A320??? LOL J/K.  I am getting more stable fps in the updated Fenix for sure but have yet to make a hop in it.  I keep finding myself in the 737 more often than the Fenix but that may just be due to spending the last year flying the only decent airliner in MSFS and enjoying the change of platform.  Overall despite not having flown it I can say the performance is improved.  EFB seems snappier as well.  One of these days we will have one in the (anticipated updated) PMDG but rather than die of asphyxiation I just check the forums daily...

word not allowed.. of all the people i hate to agree with is Bob but sorry he brings up a valid point. Fine if you want to compare FSLabs systems features  to the Fenix systems features in a general sense but i would stop at that point because until they are on the same platform its not really an accurate comparison.

So to the FS lab guys .. enjoy your product on your platform as most of the Fenix people are enjoying their product on this platform
