PMDG Update June 17th

Recommended Posts

RSR has posted a status update on 737 development.

https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/198308-17jun22-pmdg-737-development-update-sometimes-you-just-can-t-do-anything-right

Summary:

LNAV V2 is almost ready, and will release with the -600 and be rolled into the existing -700 at the same time or shortly thereafter. Though he did not give a firm date, I suspect it will probably be 3 or 4 weeks.

The new LNAV will be added to the P3D 737 product line, but he emphasized that at the moment, MSFS development is taking priority.

Substantial improvements have been make to cockpit animations - in particular the trim wheel, but this will also apply to other animations such as the landing gear lever.

It is confirmed that the new EFB will have Simbrief integration and Navigraph charts. Though he did not specify how that is accomplished, it is likely the EFB is written in JavaScript/HTML instead of WASM

Whats wrong with the “old” LNAV?

Without a good reason they would not spend so many months re-doing that one.

I wonder if this issue affects the wing flex, it also appears to have low FPS animation.
