I am using nothing anymore from PMDG because they still not be able to get the 2d pop ups to work from the outside view.

Therefor i am not flying the 737-7 anymore until this issue is fixed because that boders me that mutch, just get killed about that..

If at any day this issues does work/ is fixed i come back to fly with the 737 series..

Never can understand it does work for Aerosoft ( on there CRJ ) and not for PMDG !

cheers 😉

So because you can't fly a realistically simulated plane unrealistically from outside the cockpit you wont buy anything from PMDG?

I don't see that as an issue, more of a wish list item personally.

Have a Wonderful Day

Has it been released to the Xbox yet? Will be interesting to know how well it will sell in that market segment. My guess is: really well.

The biggest problem was the WASM issue, that forced the recall of the DC6 on XBox. But I think that WASM issue was fixed in SU 10.  Supposedly, after SU 10, the DC6, PMDG 700 and PMDG 600 shouldn't run into the WASM issue again and should work for XBox. But don't quote me on this.  This is from my memory from what I read, but I can't even pinpoint the exact post or exact Twitch Q&A where this was mentioned.

Anyways, people are already asking this question and voting on it for the next Twitch Q&A: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/could-you-give-us-an-update-on-the-xbox-wasm-implementation/533425

Also picked up Drzewiecki Design's Renton on sale at Orbx. Now finalising my late joining of sim update Beta 10. Should be fun.

Don't forget, Whenever you add an airframe to Simbrief, you need to "take delivery" of it and pick it up at Renton.  🤓

Per RSR's latest update https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/206425-29jul22-pmdg-737-600-is-released-and-some-other-news-bits-too the marketplace update is coming very soon looks like, so that also means XBox (MS/Asobo did have WASM support for XBox lined up for SU10 I believe).

Updates, Marketplace and Other Tidbits:
================================

We are beginning to accelerate the pace of updates for the 737 product line as we are through many of the bigger, more difficult early teething issues that come with bringing a new product line to a new platform. With this success, we are beginning to accelerate other changes, new features and of course corrections and fixes. This includes things like the new Universal Flight Tablet that is about to enter testing. We are really happy to be bringing you these continued updates and improvements to the product line and we hope they are improving your simulation enjoyment!

Many have asked when we will begin to put the 737 into Microsoft Marketplace. We anticipate releasing the 737-700 to marketplace within days. It will need to go through MS's vetting, but it should be available there soon.

I would be very interested to know the sales figures for the MSFS version of the 737-600. At $35, I am betting that PMDG will sell a significantly greater number of copies than some "why are they bothering with the 600" members of the flightsim community seem to think. At the very least, the stage is set perfectly for me if I decide to purchase MSFS at any point

Wow $35 is a fantastic price, I will be adding this beauty to my hangar.

to me the 35 isn't a fantastic price.  It's fantastic if you don't have the 700 and want a cheaper pathway to getting the 737.  But buying the 700 already and now adding 35 to have the 600 variant.  I don't consider that a great value.  Especially for a variant I'll use less than 5 times.

I pulled this from Wikipedia, and it looks like if you are into flying the 'correct' version of an aircraft on a route then SAS & Westjet are 2 users.

Anyone know what liveries come with the PMDG 737-600?

T45

"The 737-600 was launched by SAS in March 1995, with the first aircraft delivered in September 1998.[43] A total of 69 have been produced, with the last aircraft delivered to WestJet in 2006.[3] Boeing displayed the 737-600 in its price list until August 2012.[44] The 737-600 replaces the 737-500 and is similar to the Airbus A318. Winglets were not an option.[45] WestJet was to launch the -600 with winglets, but dropped them in 2006.\"

In terms of short field capabilities, how is the -600 compared to the -700?

We need the capability to swap liveries now in MSFS without going back to the main menu all of the time
There are so many beautiful liveries in the default pack, and others such as Steve's (DRA), and there will be more.  It is possible to swap from the devs menu, but it is a bit clunky and quirky sometimes (messes up panel states and cameras etc.)

This is what comes with the -600

  • Aeroflyer
  • Air Algerie
  • Air China
  • Air Europa
  • Air Malta
  • Austrian
  • Boeing Demonstrator
  • China Southwest
  • Eastar Jet
  • Flyglobspan
  • Janet Airlines
  • Lauda Air
  • MALEV
  • Midwest
  • SAS x2
  • Southwest
  • Tunis Air x2
  • Westjet

Plus I have added the great Lufthansa and KLM fictional ones by Steve.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Flying my first leg now using Steve’s great DLH repaint LGAV-EDDF (subbed out the A321 that flew this route IRL today).

Flies nice, all seems to be good.  I’ll get enough use out of it for the US$5 it cost me.  It comes with a Canadian repaint I didn’t know existed, a charter aircraft owned by Kelowna Flightcraft so that will be fun for making up ad hoc routes for the -600.

A heads up if you use Simbrief, PMDG have (for some inexplicable reason) gone with a folder structure for flight plans and wind data where each variant has its own folder.  So if you had your Simbrief exporter set to the -700’s directory for those exports, you’ll need to set up a new export for the -600 folders.  Not sure why they did that instead of one folder for all PMDG aircraft like in P3D.  I spent a few annoying moments wondering why my flight plan wouldn’t load until I saw that post of their forum.

I do wish there was an ability to change how far you have to press the brake pedals to use the parking break.  On my VF Ruddos it takes quite a bit of effort to make a full application so I’m thinking it’s actually harder than real life.
